When i first started playing the game i thought id struggle to hit gold for the MK skin. Im currently D2 with trajectory for GM on the not so distant horizon. Im NOT good at the game, i have winrate hovering just above 50%, my aim is dogwater, but i take advice from players better than i am and try to communicate well with my team which more often than not can cover up some areas where youre not doing great until you improve.
Dunno if that's a EU think but here you don't use voice, and I don't have friends playing games. It's hopeless . I'm stuck in Plat for a month now . And God save I would play what I wanted to play and not what is needed , I was silver in no time. Lobby's are rigged, my team barely can't leave the spawn , and there is absolutely nothing that you could change!
You don't need voice to hit GM. It helps but the ping system does its job. Yes you'll have uncooperative team mates on occasion but either those games will be hard fought victories you can comfortably say you carried or they were lost anyway, in which case you take a break, untilt and come back when you're in a better mood
Im not even that great at the game and hit plat. I use Penni, Storm and racoon for my mains. Then Venom, Magik and Cloak n dagger as backups. Learn to be a bit flexible and stop blaming your teamates.
That makes sense, can't tell you how many players in plat I've joined who don't understand why they're losing so they don't even know they have to fix something

Got to diamond with zero voice chat. Took 25 hours of grinding though, I'm not very good and my aim is dogwater at 30% lol

Same, game sense in this game is far more important than aim and snap reflexes.
