Forgot to talk about the performance. I played it on 4k medium setting, and the fps was pretty stable. If my PC can handle 4k with little to no issues, I would say the game is optimized well.
What do you think about the game guys? Pass or play?

It looks like a combination of andromeda and remnant, need to play it for myself to have a better opinion. Did you get the key for review because, well they are our developers :D
Idk depends on the price and how captivating the progression system/gameplay loop is.. tbh; would rather watch a playthrough than deal with the spammy combat and i doubt it runs well on a 1070. The Story is quiet good tho.

I interpret her lone narration as thinking out loud. We have the same instincts, she just vocalises it. I think it's to make the journey a little less lonely.
nothing beats linear third person shooters for me, and this looks like a very good AA title
I am definitely checking this out it’s nice to have a game that’s not open world filled with busy work and having to traverse an empty world.

It appears to be Tomb Raider in space.
This game is a breath of fresh air. Linear, short, to the point. I like this better than the games as a service model I see in other games.
It's as derivative as it gets.

This game reminds me of the rachni parts of mass effect trilogy. But I hate respawning enemies and don't like rolling around to dodge

To make it feel more real, they could make just a jump to the side. Spamming rolls feels ridiculous. Kills the immersion for me.
If someone wants to make a roll, it should go with big enough drawbacks not to be spammed: a slow recovery animation, or eating a lot of stamina.

i put dowmn $43 for a physical copy, took me 10 hours, it was good while it lasted but it has a HUGE problem, no replay value, no NG+ and the game deletes ur save when ur done....i missed 2 glitched trophies and i don't feel like playing it again now...maybe later, but it was good, has great idea, sadly it feels cheap in palces and has some of the worst lip sync in the history of video games.
Liked the demo, pre-ordered a steam key for cheap, waiting for the key to show up now.

I kinda prefer games that are outside in potentially sunny environments, as I feel trapped in doors where I live as it is lol I blame Ocarina for raising that bar! Ha ha! Looks funky though!
i just dont know why all these devs think we all want a female character i cant get into a game any game as female it takes all the roll play away as i cant get into the game at all as female since im male and cant put myself in a protaganist shoes this way

Somewhat reminds me of Returnal
Looks pretty bad. I really hate it when your main character spoon-feeds you solutions to puzzles by talking to themselves whenever you're standing still for longer than 2 seconds. I don't enjoy being pushed along on a fixed roller coaster ride or walking simulator, shoved from content chunk to content chunk. I want to figure things out myself and play at my pace. If I can't figure out the puzzle then I will look it up *if* I care enough about your game.
I want the silent protagonists back, it destroyed so many games for me, breaks my immersion, when someone all alone, all the time talks with himself like an idiot, to tell me everything - "it looks like I can use this to hook on.", "This is a ... ", "I have to follow this coordinates, because..." and so on. I am not lobotomized, and it breaks my immersion all the time, it ruins games for me which I maybe could enjoy. But this constant blabbering, that disrespects my brain, makes my brain hurt.
I sort of agree, but "Hmm, looks like rain..." by Geralt will always be great.
Freaking right. Even soured my appreciation for The Witcher 3 despite it being one of the best games ever made. In RPGs, *I* want to be the main character, not take on the role OF a fixed or pre-made character if that makes sense. At least Star Field will not have a voiced character, thank goodness.
@@TheKarabanera The Witcher 3 has funny lines, yeah, a little bit too often the same, but funny and Geralt is not trying to tell me every little obvious detail, so in The Witcher 3 it was okay for me, not great but tolerable.

What does everyone think of the "Avoid Roll" ability in these games? I don't like them myself but I really care to hear more people talk about it.
Dodge rolling in my opinion is way overused. The more appropriate alternative is a dashing step which is more natural.
It’s a lazy attempt at adding skill based mechanics to action/shooter games.
@@kamikaze00007 A dashing step would be preferable. The rolling ability to me seems like something a character who is trained in acrobatics would have.

This looks like a a neat enough game. If they can expand on the gun elements, enemy variety, and puzzles, I think they could get something pretty good on their hands.
Looks like price should be around $25 USD for 5 hours game with average graphics.

It's an action adventure game on quake 3 engine with very solid combat, possibly the best lightsaber combat system up to this day. Despite this being my childhood I found out many people never heard about it for some reason.
I'm more of a make your own character, sword shield and magic guy... EXCEPT for XCOM 1 and 2 those hit different.
This looks straight from the ps3, and I can appreciate that.

When it comes to games holding your hand, I truly wonder if it is devs mindlessly mimicking what they see the AAA industry do and assume it will give it that "feel". Other than that, I can only assume they don't trust players or the research suggesting people aren't as smart as they used to be is being taken to heart and thus this emerging trend. People complain about no voice-acting, now we are getting too much for no valid reason.
Been eagerly waiting for this since the demo. It’s sad that so many fools are just like “HUHU RETURNAL CLONE” even though it’s nothing like Returnal.

Kind of has Remnant From the Ashes vibes, but lacking on the variety and likely replayability. Still may be worth giving a check if the price is right.
Are there ANY special abilities in this game or is it just like 4 guns? Sounds very very limited.
No one is talking about it because the marketing material was “Your tools are your weapon” while front loading a scene of the protagonist, and the whole thing was maybe six seconds long.
This game will have poor sales solely due to the weak marketing.

This is one of my only real gripes with Hogwarts Legacy- they won't just let you solve the puzzles. They constantly tell you what to do with the character talking as if no one can figure them out on their own

Hm, I get strong Hunted: The Demon's Forge vibes from it, just sans a companion.
I hate the player character tells you what to do mechanic. One of my least favorite modern gaming trends. Let me think about it, don't just tell me. A good compromise for a game like this would be to have something like a voice recorder, which you can chose to use or not. When you use it, then the character talks, but they don't speak to themselves otherwise.

Writing and monologues (lol) in this game struck me as amateur-ish attempt to sound smart by saying banalities obfuscated by "smart" technobabble.
The studios first "major" and big title. And they are from a country that notoriously hates new tech and progress. I know cus i live there.

It Has only checkpoints system so should be stopped from release till they put there manual saves,for gods sake we are not on 90 's 🤮

Would it hurt the production process to add character creation? I assume nothing about her sex or appearance makes any difference for the storytelling or the plot so yeah, this trend is tiresome.

But for that you need more voice actors, because she talks all the time, and more voice actors are expensive, so I get that. I have a solution to this problem, when they make a silent protagonist, then they have more money and time left and can put those resources into character creation. Would be a win-win in my eyes, but sadly this is not en vogue today.
Not every game needs character creation, let games have their own characters...not every game is a fucking RPG

Not every game needs a character creator. Sometimes a studio just has a story THEY want to tell. If you can't handle playing a video game with a set protagonist like this one then just move on.

Any game with a female lead is a hard pass for me these days, especially if the woman is mixed race or black. Why? Because I *know* they'll be dogshit. It's the same exact reason I always gave Forspoken a wide birth and knew from day 1 the game would be utter garbage.

6/10 game, some will enjoy, some will hate, mostly passable decent time.

But it makes no sense for these types of games, where 85% or more of people that play games like these are male gamers. To have fixed female protagonist. Only reason they would create a character for minority demographic is to virtue signal.
Great lighting engine; small areas with minimal exploration; janky mechanics, imo. Returned after 45 minutes. /ymmv
