Saw the Trio perform at the Bohemian Caverns in the early '60s. Great way to impress a date. Felt so grown up and sophisticated even tho still in high school!
I played this as a kid really,my family was straight up hip,and knew there music. this is real hip tune played by the trio.Ramsey Lewis has always presented himself as what he truly is elegant classy,and downrio Hip.
My grandpa had a Jazz CD which contained this exactly same record. I didnt knew anything about music but I used to listen to this song a lot, as well as "Take A Train" by Duke Ellington, while pretending to play the piano.
I just stumbled upon this while surfing music on youtube and WOW, grinning followed by goose bumps. I immediately found a copy on casette, on ebay so my dad can play it in his car (massive jazz fan).

E ouvir os caras se divertindo enquanto os músicos tocam, me faz querer estar presente naquele momento. É uma belíssima gravação.

Hearing this album in 2013 inspired me to learn to play the next year at age 46.
