Damn this song is awesome! I love the vocals and the drums and EVERYTHING!! I like how angry it sounds but also how kinda sweet I sounds with the whole "I could never say the words to make your heart break" lines. GAH SO GOOD
And the line "I could never write a line that shines as bright as your eyes"
That also makes it pretty sweet.

I'm liking this album well enough on first listen, but aside from Phantom, this one so far has given me the best first impression because of its punch.

Only one suggestion. Guitar solos! I’m all for bringing the bass up for the little spotlight in the song, but it just feels like this album could’ve had so many great guitar solos. Especially in something like Phantom or Call It Off

This one's been stuck in my head, with the lines, "I'm losing it! So sick of it!"
Even though the song is about someone fallen out of love...it just somehow feels fitting for the sheer frustration of how bleak shit tends to feel, lately. Things could be a lot worse, but seeing faces of former friends and feeling like I've barely accomplished anything with myself...I can't live it down, how I've been feeling...
...I gotta kick my ass into gear on my projects, like the boyfriend keeps saying. It's probably one of the few parts of my life keeping me from going utterly insane.
I dont really see how this is a love song, the only part is the "Line that shines" lyric. It has elements of a song about criminals/bad people, being done, falling from grace, rolling with past mistakes, and love/care. I've been trying to figure this song and bones out for the past 2 months.
This song is great! It really explains the troubles I have with being mean to people I care about even if they're being terrible to me. Plus, the melody and rhythm of the song are perfect and I love that it just sounds motivating! Keep doing great work, Nate!

Opening reminds me a bit of AC/DC actually. Obvs not once the vocals come in and it's much more open than classic rock, but that heavy guitar...

Just finished listening to Bones, it didn't do too much for me, but that was only my first listen. I like Sleight of Hand so far, really excited to listen to the whole thing and I am so excited for my signed CD of PiE (OMG Pie lmaoo) Sandcastle Kingdoms was v good so I have high hopes for this album. After listening to the whole album several times, I think this may actually be my favorite track (of the new ones - hard to compare it to Phantom and Take Me Anywhere since they are far more familiar to me at the moment). Love the lyrics, the vocals, the music, everything. Who knows, maybe that opinion will change down the road - really love the whole thing! - but right now this one just hits all the right notes for me!

So, Bones is supposed to be about Paultin (I haven't seen much of DCA, so please don't spoil what it's about) and I noticed that some of the other song titles seem like they might have to do with other members of the Waffle Crew, like Sleight of Hand for Diath and The Wrecked and the Worried for Strix. (This is most likely a coincidence, since there doesn't seem to be one for Evelyn and the content of the songs doesn't really match up to the characters, but it's a pretty cool coincidence).
