Thanks!! I'm glad you enjoyed this video. Safari was definitely our favourite part of this whole leg. Truly a magical experience where you really had no idea what you were going to catch on any day.
I am from South Africa (Cape Town actually) and looks like you saw all the highlights!!! Makes me want to head out and explore my own country more. DEFINITELY hit me up when you guy head back here next time - we can show you some of the local spots :)
Adam and B it was an amazing time and I’d love to go back. Still felt like there was more to see though. Will definitely give you guys a shout next time!
Great work with the video, loved the safari shots in particular! Especially those turtles sitting on the hippo! I haven't been further south than Tanzania but I'm definitely looking forward to making it to SA, hopefully soon!
joelontheroad's World Heritage Journey Yes I’ve heard Tanzania has some pretty amazing safaris and is also a very different experience. I hope to make it there some time as I’d love to compare the two. Hope you get to go to SA soon!
Great video! You must have some serious telephoto lens to capture those wild animals lol!! South Africa totally on my to-go-to-list...especially the shark swimming!!!lol
Christopher Rudder thanks bud! Yeah you almost have to put there and I didn’t have the crazy 600mm lens or anything. My max reach was 300mm and sometimes I wish I could get even closer. Hopefully you’ll get to go to South Africa soon!
We love South Africa too! Haven’t been to Kruger yet but I definitely want to do that now - and also the Panorama Route. Cape Town’s V&A I remember for the great restaurant. The two routes we did was Peninsula Route and Garden Route.
Sweet! One thing I regret doing is the Garden Route which I heard is spectacular in many ways. Hopefully you get to do Kruger next time around. Such an amazing experience :)
Very beautiful and interesting video. It was an awesome trip: penguins, sharks, elephants, lions, dancing, hiking, and surfing! I added South Africa to my bucket list.
I've always been fascinated by the wilderness of South Africa and the stunning views of Cape Town! Loved the video and I hope I get to visit these places someday
Whisper Wanderlust glad you enjoyed this one! It was definitely an incredible trip with quite the variety of a bit of everything. Safari was by far our favorite though!
Amazing video! I also went on my honeymoon to South Africa. December 2018. Covered almost everything that you did apart from the private game experience and activities like shark diving - which my wife refused to consider at all. I agree with you on the amazing South Africa experience. Definitely worth going over a second time
Thanks Andrea! I didn't know anything about South Africa before you introduced it to me and I am so glad we went. What an incredible experience it was to be there.
What an adventure. Your videos are so stunning. I would love to see all the animals and to hang out by the beach and visit the small towns. I noticed in the description the gear used but I did not notice what kind of drone you were using.
Thank you so much!! Yes the safari experience was REALLY AMAZING and was totally not what I expected. Oh yes good call! I just added it in. DJI Mavic Pro is the drone that I've bene using.
Thanks! Don't blame ya because it's one of the harder continents to get to and takes quite a bit of planning. Thanks about the voice-over. Been experimenting with different forms of storytelling and it's been good in that I know I don't need to record audio on the road all the time.
Thanks to your video. I was able to convince my wife to do a trip to South Africa. We are currently planning our trip. Would love to get your suggestion on Kruger national park... Is it better to get tour company or better to rent a car for JNB and drive to Kruger National Park, stay in a camp and do self driving tour?
Im thinking about doing almost the exact same trip for my honeymoon! How many days did it take to do all this?? And was it veeeeery expensive? Thanks for the help! Great video!
Hey! I did Cape Town in a week and to be honest didn’t cost as much as I thought it would. Most of the money went into the activities like shark diving and Uthando. I used some hotel points, found a cheap car rental and stayed at B&Bs!

Looks a great experience, I 'm afraid to say we haven't been to any part of the African continent. Love the voice over by the way.

I did the whole thing on our own. It’s do-able although it will feel daunting. Make sure to check out the detailed blog post!
