  • Today is our first day in one of the largest game reserves in the world: Kruger National Park! Soon after starting our self-drive safari, we spotted something very unexpected. We later take a walk to try spot rhinos!

    Anna, many Dutch say Afrikaans sounds funny to them. As a Dutch, how does it sound to you? Perhaps growing up in Africa, you accustomed to it, or it sounds silly 😂😅

      Haha yeh it sounds very different! I can only pick up words here and there when someone is speaking Afrikaans. I think the reason people may say it sounds silly is because many words have "ie" at the end, which we would only add in Dutch to make something sound cute or when you're speaking to a kid.😋 It's a pretty cool language though!
