i put some humic acid in with the crystals. i noticed it only sprays the content in pulses. no wonder it takes forever. something i noticed you can tilt the sprayer to spray out more fertilizer. tilt it completely upside down and you'll use up the whole content quickly.

Thank you for the excellent demonstration. My blue color pulses - comes out clear, then spurts blue, the n clear , then blue. I find this is not as comfortable as the liquid feeder but that has gotten cost prohibitive.
@@diyourhouse2 Probably because it cost a bit more to make it with its aluminum extension. I used to have one decades ago, but got out of gardening for a season, and when I got back into it, I couldn’t find one. I’ve looked all over the internet. Even EBay doesn’t have a used one.
If the container isn't depleting and you don't see any blue solution, it could be that the dispenser isn't drawing in the fertilizer properly. Make sure the hose pressure is strong enough and that the connection is secure. Sometimes, air bubbles can block the siphon, so try shaking the container gently to help it start. Sometimes it's hard to see the blue in the spray depending on lighting. etc. You should see the blue easier if you look directly into the canister.
You wont since the output is so low. on my post i added humic acid to make the water black/brown. it was spraying mostly clear and spurts out product every half a second or so. not like other hose-ends like ortho where its a full stream. Edit: a quick google search this thing has the lowest possible setting.
I removed the plastic and I tightened everything in the water just bubbles up in the canister and I don’t see if it’s getting empty and I don’t see any glue Hughes coming through it. It’s just water.
Hi CRpatriot! It sounds like the water pressure might not be strong enough, or the canister may not be seated properly. Make sure the dispenser is fully clicked into place and try adjusting the water flow. You should see a slight color change in the water if the fertilizer is being dispensed correctly. If it’s still not working, try disconnecting and reconnecting to ensure a tight seal. Let me know if that helps!
Great video! Is there a risk that it will dispense too much of the plant food and burn my plants? The device seems so simple, I don't understand how it mixes the proper ratio of plant food to water.
I thought you had to put water with the miracle gro and then attach the hose. Or you just put the fertilizer by itself and let the water fro the hose mix it?
It never lasts more than one summer season, the gasket fails, and leaks the feed from between the reservoir and feeder. Never had one last longer than a year.
The Lawn food has more Nitrogen and a bit of Iron in it for that deep green. 36-0-6 NPK + Iron All purpose has more balanced for that root strength. 24-8-16 NPK
Well, the sprayer must have a "water limited" feature on it so the user spends twice as much time watering the garden and/or yard. Also, it needs to come with a "quick-disconnect" feature so screwing off and on on a regular basis isn't spent on doing so constantly. And, lastly, dude. Fix the aluminum shed door! ...

It sounds like it is having problems mixing. Maybe that batch is too old. Try a new batch, or try shaking the feeder.
They used to make a feeder with an extended nozzle that was about 2 feet long. It made fertilizing a garden much easier than the current feeder.

I have the sprayer on lock because my hand hurts but the container stays full. It never depletes and I don’t see any blue coming out.

Mine never sprays blue unless I shake it and then returned to water.
It has a deeper shake of blue when you shake it.

Try adding a dye. i use humic acid that deep black really shows.

The water will automatically mix with the fertilizer once you start spraying the hose.

It's only a light shade of blue. It could be that the batch you're using is old.
Make sure hose connection is tightly screwed in to the unit.
And make sure there's a rubber gasket in the hose.
If you can use MG plant food on lawns why is there a MG lawn food also?
Check with your garden center which is best for your lawn.

The sprayer doesn't have any limits on it. Re: the shed door, we'll be removing it and putting a firepit in that spot.
