Aaahhh...I can hear the birds. :) I left home before these houses were finished...I left and the foundation haven't been built..so it is great to see this video. Thank you! 😃
Fascinating video! You'll still find similar structures like these on the outer islands part of Yap. Notice the use of handmade coconut fiber twine that ties everything from buildings to sailing canoes together.
Great vids! I’m glad you filmed the so called Massive Monetary Stones. Maybe in more recent times the people used them as Value, but I think those are Ancient Stone Anchors or Drugos sp? (To balance Large ships). The stones have a drilled hole in center. I think Yap people traded Stones with Seafarers who had large ships. Please see Old World Florida channel for Massive Stone Anchors or Drugos with drilled holes. Much larger than ancient stone anchors in Mediterranean Sea. Vids named Saxer Stones. An Archeologist verified they were anchors. Why so Massive? How large a ship??? These large ships may have sailed the Pacific and traded for anchors and goods.
I was so impressed how you deliver this documentary with clarity and very understandable....... You're so lucky enough that you accomplished your documentaries actually and right in your own eyes! That was amazing!!! ..... From the philippines..... I hope i was with you in performing this spectacular and remarkable documentaries!! ......

I recently heard in the news that there is a Zika virus outbreak on the island of YAP! Is this true?
Really? I hope not.. This video was taped late last year, at that time no virus was present in YAP..
www.nytimes.com/2016/02/11/world/asia/zika-virus-yap-island.html?_r=0
I hope you didn't get it! Often times, you can get Zika, but it won't affect you much, because one's immune system can be healthy.
i had Zika once
i'm fine
Did you get the Zika virus in YAP??
I subed
Thank you!!
