BAKBAKAN SA MASBATE 2ND EDITION SA BAGAT DAGAT FESTIVAL 2024 FEATURING WBF INTERNATIONAL SUPER FLYWEIGHT BELT
An exciting event will take place that will delight the thousands who will flock to the Bagat Dagat Festival 2024 in Lagoon, Barangay Matayum, Cataingan, Masbate on June 22, 2024 in connection with the celebration of the feast day of John the Baptist which is scheduled to hold the 2nd Edition of ATK Boxing Promotions by Masbate Governor Antonio Kho.
It can be remembered that the 1st edition of ATK promotions was held at the Cataingan Astrodome on April 20, 2024 at the time Governor Kho promised to hold the 2nd Edition on June 22, 2024 at the Bagat Dagat Festival in Lagoon.
The governor's goal is to make the annual Bagat Dagat an overwhelming excitement, so he tried to cartel boxing with this occasion.
This will be the first boxing event to take place at the Lagoon and the first ever five title bouts featuring Masbate homegrown Jeo Santino Santisima taking on Asian boxing champ Arnon Yupang of Bangkok, Thailand for the 130-pound World Boxing Council's Asia Continental Super Featherweight Championship. While Jeo's brother, Alex Santisima Jr. will face Jastine Darap for the WBF Australian Super Flyweight Belt.
The three championship belts will be contested by Michael Dasmarinas and Jon Jon Estrada for the Philippine Featherweight Championship, Indian boxing champ Nutlia Lalbiakkima of New Delhi and Esneth Domingo for the WBC Asia Flyweight belt and Bienvinido Ligas and Alvin Camique for the WBF International Super Flyweight belt.
This is just the beginning of the accomplishments and desires of Gov. Kho as an advocate of international boxing to give potential to Masbateno boxers and professional Filipino boxers the opportunity to train their fists up to the international boxing stage.
The ten professional boxing bouts will take place at the Masbate Lagoon in Matayum, Cataingan, Masbate on June 22, 2024 in inline with the province's annual Bagat-Dagat Festival.
