Since I've only recently started learning about value investing, I've discovered that a lot of good stocks have intrinsic worth but are undervalued. Which stocks would you pick if you had $200,000 to build a solid investing portfolio in order to maximise returns?

For the average Joe, the tactics are fairly demanding. In actuality, professionals with extensive knowledge and skill sets are able to execute these deals with the majority of success.

Yes, ever since I experienced a significant loss in my portfolio in the early months of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I have always entrusted my excesses to an advisor. I only work 7.5 hours a week and am now semi-retired. After all of my investments to far, I am only about 25% of the way to my $1 million retirement target.

Recently bought some recommended stocks and now they are just penny stocks. There seems to be more negative portfolios in the last 3rd half of 2024 with markets tumbling, soaring inflation, and banks going out of business. My concern is how can the rapid interest-rate hike be of favor to a value investor, or is it better avoiding stocks for a while?

Review your portfolio with a professional and don't make the same mistakes again. Diversify, as in your stock portfolio, and hopefully consult a professional. The key to building wealth is long term. I learned 10 years ago that you have to keep emotions (rookie) out of your investment decisions at all cost. Now, i've made over 800k in profits from my 350k investment.

    • @alex-Yolan

The truth is that this is really not as difficult as many people presume it to be. It requires a certain level of diligence, no doubt, which is something ordinary investors lack, and so a financial advisor often comes in very handy. My friend just pulled in more than $84k last month alone from his investment with his advisor. That is how people are able to make such huge profits in the market.

Successful investing is hard work because it means disciplining your mind to do the opposite of human nature. Buying during a panic, selling during euphoria, and holding on when you are bored and just craving a little action. Investing is 5% intellect and 95% temperament.

Government policy has thrown the future under the bus for decades. The day of judgment is near. I predict an 80% drop in the stock market. Investors will abandon stocks in favor of real estate. There will be no money in banks... You must devise a strategy for survival.

3 years ago, I started investing with $300k, but I've only made about 6% total, or 2% per year, which my friends say is very low. I also put $800k into a 401k with a financial advisor, and it's now worth about $1.2 million after 10 years. I think I need to revamp my portfolio. Thank you so much for this video but in these uncertain times it is more important than ever to have a solid understanding manage your investment also your finances, invest wisely and navigate economic downturns. But my primary concern is how to grow my reserve of $240k which has been sitting duck since forever with zero to no gains, sure I'm all in on the long term game, but with my savings are lying waste to inflation and my portfolio losing gains everyday, I need a remedy.

Are you not worried about how these stocks will do in a recession? A soft landing is very unlikely even though everyone is pricing it in still.

Started with shares and investment funds this year and so far i collected, 20 Nvidia, 50 Sofi, 40 Soundhound, 70 PLTR.
Will continue growing SOFI larger and PLTR and collect more Nvidia if they keep at 100-150.

Here is a warning to real traders out there. DO NOT FOLLOW these people that say they have an advisor that made them millions. Most of these are scams. It starts out with someone talking about how it's hard for the average trader. Then someone else chimes in to say, "yeah, I was losing money until a found an advisor." Just beware!

I am thinking of diversifying into Nvidia which is up by 8.08%. Definitely looks like the stock of the year as I’m looking for ways to make mouth watering ROIs from a $250k portfolio, any recommendations to achieve this will be highly appreciated.

the strategies are quite rigorous for the regular-Joe. As a matter of fact, they are mostly successfully carried out by pros who have had a great deal of skillset/knowledge to pull such trades off.

I agree, having a brokerage advisor for investing is genius! Amidst the financial crisis in 2008, I was really having investing nightmare prior touching base with a advisor. In a nutshell, i've accrued over $2m with the help of my advisor from an initial $350k investment.
