Definitely the right move as f2p to skip banners and focus more crystals on nuking a banner that looks really good. Its hard to maintain that self control tho

Totally agree with this strategy as f2p. I've pulled on 3 banners, Murasame, Edge Wings, and Black Whiskers banners. I went to exactly 1 stamp card on each banner and only got 1 murasame and edge wings. On this halloween zack banner I finally got lucky and got enough for OB2, and didn't realize how much a difference it would make. I do wish I had done more pulls on the previous banners, but on the brightside I've got 90k saved up to go to the second stamp page on tonight's banner
First off, I'm extremely excited for you sitting on 90k! Holy cow! And second, that is exactly what I learned from getting Dark Heavens. It was the first time I pulled for one stamp card and tonight will likely be the second (sigh). But after this banner, it's 2 cards or nothing for me unless there's an outfit that is just bonkers!
As a F2P I've only been pulling hard on the banners I really wanted: Cloud Murasame outfit, Zidane outfit. Sephiroth Edge Wings and Dark Heavens outfits. On other banners I've pulled once or twice to see if I get lucky and try to get a copy of the banner weapons. It's been working good for me
Well you do not pull the banner for the weapon but for the armor. That should be the main parameter what to do. You can always wishlist weapons later on.
Yeah, I tend to agree. But I think there is a place for pulling weapons, depending what you need. The problem is that the weapon pool continues to get more and more diluted the more weapons they put out, and my personal experience is that the wishlist works maybe 1/3 of the time. I constantly get 5 star weapons that aren't on the list that I don't want lol.
@@Nitelight9 I have a totally different feeling. Most of the weapons I am getting are featrues or on the wishlist. But yeah it is very subjective. At the end of the day it is RNG at its finest.
This was my strategy, I only pulled for Murasame and Edge Wings and have been able to clear almost all content. I have 120k crystals saved up and might go all in on the FFIX collab banner trying to get Tifas weapon to OB6, but gonna wait until November 23 to see all three banners before deciding.
@@Nitelight9 To follow up on this, I spent 120k on the cloud and tifa banner, managed to get both weapons OB8 as well as murasame, edged wings, and hardedge to OB6. I figure it's best to spend all my resources making thunder cloud as strong as possible so he can carry me through all content and if it resist lightning, then I just switch to Zidane cloud to carry me. Going to save for a long while now to do that again for sephiroth.
I've touched the 6 stamp pull 1 time already after hitting 1x like 6 times in a row was funny Was pissed at first ending up laughing about it as soon as the 6 came
I agree with you, since I play some gacha games, I started to save my resources to somenthing usefull for my account, and this means that I have to skip some contents and be SO MUCH patient

So what I end up doing I pull mostly just for 1 stamp card. On always the most recent banner.... but while I'm pulling on new banner I grab the Mura meritime edged curaga staff n tiger currently so even if I get only 1 feature I'm primarily focusing maxing my faves
I'm with you that this banner is highly deceptive. The outfits don't have elemental bonuses, but the phys ability potency aligns so well with Cloud and Tifa that it'll be more useful than folks might expect. OB1 really is the sweet spot for investing I think due to attack potency changes. It makes the biggest difference at the lowest investment you can count on really - anything over that is gravy, and isn't going to make or break a team.
I can't say 100% for certain, but I'm nearly positive I'm going all in on this banner. Then saving for something around christmas. And yes, it looks amazing!
Same position here. The fact that the weapons are only during the event and i wont be able to build them up means i think i'll pass. I might wait until the other banner drops to see if its at least possible to wishlist items during the event though im pretty sure it wont be.
I've focus in every banner to only have Cloud and Aerith weapons. Now I got Cloud both weapons maxed, focusing on Aerith and another DPS. No need to pull for different characters unless it's your favorite and new to the game and it's your first banner. As an advice for Dolphins and F2P, dont go wild on trying to get different weapons for different characters just coz of the different stories. You'll get em in Tickets. Save your Gems

It's also more versatile than the elemental potency. But either way, I don't think it ever truly hurts to save. Maybe it hinders a couple events, but in the long run I think it's likely to be just fine!
So this banner is probably one of two. We have usually been one banner and then a week later a second one. In light of this Im going to wait till the second banner to decide what to pull on since Ive got two extra gears for Cloud and Tifa already. If the second banner has gear for someone else I want more options for Ill go there.

Oh, one more thing... just keep in mind that apparently these weapons will increase event drops--this is not 100% confirmed, but the leaked banner suggests it. If they do, take that into account if the rewards are high quality.

This game is just so hard to spend money on the stones just cost way to much. When I see the cost and think about how many pulls I can do, it just makes me not spend money on this game. It cost 3k for one summon and 98% of the time you will only get one stamp per 3k. So if there's 5 slots on stamp card just to get the weapon for sure that's 15k crystals if you only hit 1 stamp per pull 30k for the outfit smh I just can't with this game they need to fix the odds or else this game will die

it's better to skip this banner unless you are a whale, since you will never be able to upgrade banner weapons further. even if you get cloud's sword to ob2, eventually an ob6 apocalypse will easily surclass it

The short answer is no. But I can give you an exact example so you can decide for yourself! I have Zack's Ifrit Sword at 5 Pink Stars +20 (max max), lvl 90. PATK is normally 422 at max overboost (5pink stars), and MATK is 436. At +20, PATK is 440 & MATK is 455. HEAL is 212 vs 228. There are no other differences. So it's 37 total raw phys and mag stats and 16 heal. That's not very much for needing 20 extra copies of the weapon.
I have 43k gems and I plan on using them all tonight. Cloud and Tifa are two characters on my main team! I used like 12k gems on the Halloween banner and I regretted as all my pulls were absolute shit... :(

I only pull for meta costumes cuz weapons i can get anyway in any banner, when i say meta costumes is for meta build not cuz look cool/great, as f2p i cant do all content sometimes, so i need every source of power with minimun gems. We need to do some maths with the new meta non-elemental dmg, cuz new banner have crazy powercreep skills 1300% on a weapon is so much
Yes! I cannot wait to see just how much physical ability potency is on these costumes! I'm hoping 10 pts.. fingers mega crossed. I know some people are leery of non-elemental stuff, but I think the phys pot. has so much potential versatility! The game went through a pretty hardcore magic dmg phase with the introduction of Seph and I think things may be swinging back the other way. I am literally more excited for this crossover than I was when the game first released!!!

I didn't end up pulling any extra copies of that wind sword either, but I was fortunate enough to pull two Marusame and another Curaga staff for Aerith, which helped me get top 100 in the last dungeon ranking event. In your opinion, would you keep an item on your wishlist that you already have OB6, or would you replace it with an item that drastically needs some overboost?
My personal strat for wishlisting is to put in 1-2 weapons I don't currently have but need. And the rest ones that I am trying to star up. I don't have anything OB6 that isn't free, but I imagine that I would not try to OB7 anything that I was using for it's buff/debuff mechanic bc max potencies seem to come at OB6--so, to me, that is the pinnacle of weapons in that category. Otherwise, I probably pick no more than 2 weapons to try to push past OB6 at a time while focusing on rounding out the others. That would leave you with 1 or 2 slots for lower tier weapons. So far, I think versatility is more valuable than outright strength because of the way the ranking dungeons and stuff work. It's so hard for me to save crystals. I just want to pull as soon as I hit 3k! The most I've ever saved was 9k lol.
I was up to 24k before this last banner and they caught me in my emotions lol

Btw, the only reason I pulled on Seph Halloween banner was fomo on the wind potency costume for Seph. I saw it as a future investment. Time will tell.
