I think the Wata case kinda conceals the true condition of seals. I have a PS2 game that has a seal that has fading and scratching and you have to tilt the wata case at the right angle to really see it
Oh it's for sure harder to see the finer details through a WATA case than it is raw or VGA. Part of it being the bulky design and part of it being the internal blister. Looking through 2 layers of plastic definitely obfuscates stuff

Awesome video. Does WATA open the unopened N64 games? Also, I saw CGC have just graded an N64 game, and include a sealed grade. That’s pretty awesome. I hate the WATA cases lol they’re so huge 😂
WATA doesn't open it. Verification has to be done using other indicators as opening it would render it a CIB instead. And yes! CGC is finally fully up and rolling with their grading! Definitely excited to see what more competition might mean for us as consumers!
@@MayorMori You can tell if the box has been opened or not. If they open it it would be visible. Qualified and cib are different things. Also you could technically weigh the game to know if it's complete.

Im done with wata, sent them a copy of foil variant of pocket Bomberman for GBC and it received a 8.5 A+ ..upon asking why it received that low of a grade their response was the box had fading...bug/nat under the seal under Bomberman's foot...as well as some print line/dots running across the letter L in the word "color" on the front cover part. So I was like okay it is what it is I'll just crack it out and sell it raw since it was going to actually make me lose money having it as a 8.5 for what I paid for it...I was okay with that sometimes it happens rightt...we move on an carry on to other games..well I sold that copy to someone on ebay...to only find them list it a month or so later but graded from wata and guess what it got a 9.2 A+!?!?!?! AND THE NOTED "FADING"on the back of the wata label was no longer there 🤔🧐 So how does a game go from being faded to no longer being faded?? I mean it's either gonna stay the same fade under proper care or the fading is going to get worse..and guess what I zoomed in under his foot on the new listing on ebay and the bug/nat is still there!!! Lol they're getting a ear full at the moment because the false grading they did cost me to lose money on that game 🤬

Raw stuff is definitely primarily from eBay. You can try random Facebook groups and such but eBay undoubtedly has the most new supply hitting the market every day as BIN or auction

I can't imagine those would be worth getting graded, no. You won't find any graded because no one bothers to grade many Xbox 360 games in general right now. The promotional copy is a bit more interesting, but still, it's a game no one really wants at this time. I wouldn't t recommend grading them unless you just want to for your own collection.

@@magnusaspegren6369 ahhh are they PAL copies? If so, I can't really speak to them the North American versions is widely available for like $20USD - I thought that was the one you were speaking of. If you are overseas, the cost of grading + shipping is likely too prohibitive for it to be "worth it"
You actually can't right now, unfortunately. They don't currently offer JP game boy for grading - the only option right now would be VGA is you have unopened/unused

In general, xbox one graded games aren't really "worth it" unless it's very specific titles or (basically) a perfect grade. As a 9.6 A+... Like maybe someone would buy it for $100? There's really nothing there.
It actually alot of fun to see all these modern games grading. =p but i feel like must be very expansive to grade all these games. XD i am still just CIB Collector/Play. But i see appeal in Graded/Sealed. Wouldnt mind my favorite Games in Graded State. Just For Display purposes.
It's actually not too bad cost-wise. I sent these in during the 15% off black Friday promo so all of the modern stuff cost me $34USD each and the n64/PS2 stuff cost me $51USD each. It's not the cheapest thing ever, but the $34 ones especially are pretty good!

Yea for sure! Send some photos to my IG account of the same name. Grading it shouldn't actually be *too bad*. Prices on sm64 are down considerably so ideally there wouldn't be much of that 2% premium on top of the normal fees, unless this thing is going to grade super high haha!
the cost is lower when ur sending in 10-20 games at a time saving $10 per game adds up. personally think cgc slabs look better i dont like watas label. Heritage auction mess is another reason. Watas grades are generally weaker and the hobby will notice this more over time like they have with psa vs beckett. wata has a longer turn around. Cgc has better marketing and a much bigger overall market share in general hobby/collecting. final reason i also sub comics so sending them all to one place all uniform labels looks better at a show display or even in an online store for uniformity. just in general i dont like there practices which is why i refer to them as waka kaka doodoo. ur collection is awesome btw and i enjoy watching ur content. wish u all the best. thanks. @@GetTheGreg
Fair enough. I'm glad you have actual reasons for preferring CGC and have actual experience with grading. I'm not opposed to using CGC, but I still prefer WATA for most of my submissions. I prefer the WATA aesthetic and I like the expertise WATA has with variant knowledge and proper labelling. I have and do send some stuff to CGC, too. They are very good, and like you said, also cheaper. I like VGA too, but they are simply too expensive/too slow for me to consider using now in 2023. You said you suhbbed some JP games with them - it must have been quite expensive to do so unless it was done a few years ago.
@@GetTheGreg I have a couple older ones. I try to only send them the expensive Japanese games the really rare ones. Japanese gamecube, ps1, gba etc. The smaller sized games because they charge based on size $90 compared to $125 is much more do-able. They charged me 115$ for a Japanese Pocket Monsters Stadium 2 N64. If i sent them to wata id save $35 dollars per game. While that is a big savings i just dont want my games in their slabs. I will buy a wata slab to flip but i wont send them one personally. I just sent in 5 Japanese games to vga the cheapest one I sent was that stadium all the others were over $400. If you wanna grade a console vga becomes the only choice aswell i recently sent them a CIB mint af clear Japanese gameboy w the wrappings and all the thing literally looks like it sat on a shelf somewhere and was never played still waiting to get it back. Besides that id never use vga for NA release games.
How long do games generally stay in the post grading phase? Just sent my first order in and it was graded almost immediately.. but it's been in post grading for a week. I paid for 90 day service so I'm not complaining but just curious lol.

Only if it's quite significant, and even then, I was able to grade 9.4 or 9.6 even with shifted art, so it's not a large consideration.

What's the point of blocking the grade when you already saw them when you opened the package.
WATA packaging conceals the grade incredibly well, actually. They aren't just chucked in a box and stacked on top of eachother haha.
