      Hello there! It definitely works for worldwide. In fact, the actual certifications (NBCMI and CCHI) happen in the U.S but many other interpreters who are not based in the US choose to get certified through them. I hope this is clear!

    Hi! What hippa certification qualifies for a medical interpreter?

      Hello there! So from my understanding, there actually isn't one specific HIPAA compliance certification that LSPs require, meaning as long as the course deals with HIPAA compliance materials, it will be generally accepted by any LSPs who require them. Many of established LSPs will provide their own HIPAA training for their interpreters, but some LSPs, typically smaller ones, might ask their interpreters to obtain one themselves. In that case, a course can be either purchased or taken from another LSPs to meet this requirement. I hope this makes sense!
