It’s so cyclical-a desire and capacity to push more, a need to step back and rest. I think our ancestors knew this. Our society pushes “productivity,” as if we have adopted the capitalistic tenant that humans are a cog in a machine-but our nature is not that way. See bears who hibernate for winter, whales who traverse the oceans with the seasons, a woman’s cycle. Life is in flow!
THIS exactly! There's a time to push and there's a time to rest and nature is such a amazing example of that. We can't push all the time and expect to be successful or fully functional.
❤❤❤❤ I really needed 😢 this message. I view your videos for motivation. I have been balancing alot and today you allowed God to use you to tell me to REST. It's a balance that's hard when we are used to being big givers and goal getters. Just listen to our bodies. Even a race car stops for maintenance. Stay blessed 😊 Thanks
Oh wow, thanks so much! I’m so glad this message resonated with you! 🌟 It’s so true that even the most high-performing race cars need a pit stop, and we’re no different! Sometimes we forget that rest is just as important as our hustle. It sounds like you’re on the right track-listening to your body is key! Remember, even the biggest givers need to refill their own cups. Sending you lots of love and blessings to you too 💖
Good advice. I used to be able to push myself above and beyond. And now I know I just can’t. For instance, I can’t force myself to go to the grocery store at 9pm like I could a few years ago. I’ve learned making do with what I have is usually better than the stress of running around trying to make something work how I wanted it to.
Recognizing your limits and prioritizing what truly matters is SO important. It’s great that you’re focusing on making do with what you have rather than adding extra stress. Sometimes the simplest solutions can bring the most peace.
Thank you for this video. I'm forced to slow down. I've worked too hard during the last few weeks and have gotten sick. I know that going so hard broke down my immune system. I have to stop pushing. Your video showing up in my feed today is confirmation.
I’m really glad you found this video helpful! Our bodies send us signals, and sometimes they really know how to grab our attention when we aren't listening. That happened to me last week. Taking a step back is crucial, especially when we push ourselves too hard. Consider this your gentle reminder to prioritize your health and well-being! Wishing you a smooth recovery and some well-deserved rest. Take care! 💖
Happy Sunday, loves! Last week was a week!!! Hoping you’re all making time to prioritize your wellness this week. You can have your life, your dreams, and not be stressed out 😘
Pushing beyond our limits is a scarcity mindset. Also as women we need to rest in order to be in our feminine energy to receive support and nurture our loved ones. Then our cups “runneth over”
100% agree. It took me some time to realize this. From time to time, I fall back into the hamster wheel, but I shake myself out of it. Thanks for the reminder and encouragement. Faith over fear and being consistent is so much more important. I subscribed. I need to show up. Thank you!
I’m so glad to hear you’re finding ways to shake off that hamster wheel mindset! It’s completely normal to have those moments, but it sounds like you have a strong sense of determination. Thank you for subscribing, and remember, every small step counts-just showing up is a victory in itself! 🌟💪
@kristidoingthings thank you for this video. It is confirmation of what the people around me have been telling me. I have an overflowing plate of responsibility and obligation that even when something is removed it does not change the weight. I plan and try to prioritize but life is constantly lifeing!
Girl, I hear you! I feel like that often as well and sometime need to step back and reevaluate what I ACTUALLY needs my attention and what I can take off my plate, delegate, or not focus so hard on. I too am still learning it!
I needed this reminder today. 🤍 I’ve been sick these past few days so I haven’t been able to work on my goals and I’ve been bummed about that. However, I know my health and rest are more important so I shouldn’t feel guilty or try to push through (which could lead to a worse state).
Aww, feel better! It’s hard not to feel guilty when we need to rest, but it’s SOOO necessary for us to come back stronger. Our bodies and minds will definitely let us know when we need that break and I’ve been really working to build it in so that my body doesn’t have to break down before I listen to it. ❤️

This is a WORD! Society needs to change.
I love the idea of being your best self is prioritizing your wellness. What’s for me is for me.
Yup, wellness always comes first. God will not let you miss what’s for you as you’re working to live life in a healthy way ❤️
Looooove this! Health is wealth and should be among the top of our priorities!
Amen!!! Doing “the thing” is important, but it can’t take priority over our health!
