    Really good suggestions there Gary. I have recently evolved something similar in Numbers. I often work with dates and need to adjust for holidays in various countries. So I set up a few tables with the calendars in a template as a second sheet, (Calendar) so whenever I open aa new document and need to use the workday date function, I can easy link the correct calendar to it.
    Your suggestion made me realise that something similar can be done in Pages. Thanks again!

    Gary, hello again from Uruguay, would you be so kind to show me a link for creating a template , I want to have some different boxes (divisions in the page) where I ca write the on one column the Ingredients and on the other division my photo and the prepararation for the recipes. I am quite new to pages, but I am learning a lot thanks to you! Best wishes for the season!

      Take a look at the Recipe template to see an example. Or I have a video that teaches you some layout: th-cam.com/video/MQCiL6_fKFU/w-d-xo.html

    Hello Gary, Thank you for taking time to respond. question. Running high sierra on a 2010 imac. pages requires OS 12 Monterey or later. is there a program i could get in app store that would give me pages capable operation on this old imac?

      Had you purchased (free) Pages from Apple before? If so, launch the App Store app and look in your previous purchases. See if it is there and you can download it. Otherwise, I'm not sure. If you search for "get old Pages for old Mac" in Google there are a variety of posts claiming to have solutions, but I can't test any of them.

    Thank you Gary! Very useful tips and channel!
    I wonder If it’s possible to create a Table of Contents with the titles of the images?
    I tried it by selecting the paragraph style of the images titles, but it doesn’t recognise it 😢
    Any tips would be very much appretiated. It’s for an academic big project.
    All the best 🙂

    Hi Gary, thanks great video. I wonder if you can help me with a dilemma. I'm uploading images to my pages document but when I export the document to epub format, the image isn't dispalyed. All I get is a dot which appears under the image in the original pages document, but no image. Any ideas?

    • @jkahn5350
      @jkahn5350 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've tried png, jpeg and tiff images but no luck. Most of the images are under 1MB, the largest is 5.2MB.

      No idea why it isn't working for you. Keep experimenting to figure out what is preventing the image. Try setting the arrange options for the image differently (in-line, wrapping etc). Look at all of the options when you export. Keep experimenting to figure it out.

      @@macmost Okay sorted it. The key is not to add the image through the add image icon, but to simply copy and paste the image directly into the document. Bizarrely that way there's no dot appearing under the image and the image shows perfectly in the epub version of the pages document.

    Hello Gary, 75 and not real computer savvy. context for my question. writing a book outline . have roughly 70 pages handwritten . want to type out pages in text edit and print. How do i set up in text edit so each page will print out only
    page1,page2, page 3,etc. not just a continuous document?

    • @macmost
      @macmost  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not quite sure what you are asking, but if you want to have numbered pages, then why not use Pages instead of TextEdit?
