My fiance and I love watching Bee & Puppycat. We had a cat that would sit with us while we'd watch it. A cute little white and gray cat that looked similar to Puppycat and had similar behaviors in a way. Every night, my fiance and I would fall asleep to this beautiful version of Pretty Patrick. Just a few weeks ago on New Years Eve '23, we had to put him down due to a terminal sickness that came out of nowhere. It was his time. The last song we all listened to together was this Pretty Patrick song... and we held him gently as he faded away. It hurt so much, and still does. Part of me believes that because we listened to this song so many times before bed, our family member of a cat felt comfortable and no longer afraid. He was just going to sleep..with Mom and Dad right there in the ER 😢 When I hear this track now, all I think about is holding him again all together, and feeling his presence before he left. The song has a new power of peace, nostalgia, and the ability to help us mourn his untimely loss. RIP Lil Buddy, I miss you everyday.
