Bought many straps and bracelets - all excellent. Also a vintage 300m diver with 50s style cues which is a beautiful and unusual piece. Service has been excellent every time- I am uk based
This is a great watch. I owned the 2824 green bezel version for about a year. For me, it's one of the best retro styled divers out there and was a great quality watch with good finishing. It felt way more refined then all of the micro brand watches I've owned with a perfectly balanced dial and index ratio. Good sizing too. The only thing I didn't like was the crown is pretty sharp and did dig into my wrist. I almost prefer pin style bracelets. The bezel really did play with the light and has a subtle sunburst effect. The clasp wasn't the best but it was thin so I'd still probably take it over a bulky one. The AR on the crystal was great and played with the polished rehaut nicely. I did a review on WUS if people search there. I'm glad you brought this watch to people's attention as it's a solid offering and I think a lot of people would be extremely impressed with this piece and i think it does bring something unique to the table. Keep up the good work Rob!
Hello, I would like to order the watch and I just wanted to know how the quality of the watch is, whether you might have other watches that you could compare with it?
@@victormucke2960 I would buy it again though I would buy the black bezel version if so. There are some reviews on watchuseek...com that have some good comparisons. It's totally worth the price and I think you would be happy with it.
Hello, I would like to order the watch and I just wanted to know how the quality of the watch is, whether you might have other watches that you could compare with it?
I purchased two bracelets from Geckota in November 2020, the Diver's Vintage Rivet Berwick Stainless Steel Watch Strap and the Diver's Warrington Stainless Steel Watch Strap. I live in the US and received the bracelets in less than a week with no issues. I purchased both bracelets for my SKX. They fit great, look great and feel great on the wrist. I am looking at purchasing a watch or two.
Geckota are great straps. No issues whatsoever. That watch reminds me of my rado captain cook at a fraction of the cost. Great watches for the money and straps. Would highly recommend them.
I really like all Geckota watches, not sure why they are not more popular. Maybe they look too fashionable, but they seem like a good value and well made. If it is even possible to see from the video I believe there is no sharp edge on the bracelet or the watch, I just received a Strapcode bracelet for Seiko Alpinist, it is sharp as hell all over the place. No one talks about this, Strapcode is a good payer I believe.
I ordered a Pioneer from them in red. It is stunning for the price, it looks 3 times the price. And the straps are really really good. I bought a Hamilton Khaki King field from them and the strap isn't as good quality.
@@rigoeats3654 Their chronotimer is one of the best watches in existance and is $400. The yellow is probably the best on any racing chrono I've ever seen too
I bought this with the pt5000 movement and two tone jubilee bracelet end of June and have worn literally nothing else for 2 months. Didn't think I'd like it as much as I do. My wrist is only 6.3", but it wears so comfortably that I've started selling off my collection including more expensive watches. If I'd have to critique this watch it would be that the jubilee options come with hollow end links, the bezel action could be a bit better and the lume on the indices could be better. Apart from that, it's perfect! 😊 I have the E-01 as well. Although it also has the bgw9 luminova, there seems to be a generous helping of it on the indices as it's phenomenal - on par with my C60 mk3. They seem to do a pretty good job with the AR coating too. I see newer models seem to have the name in block capitals, which is a shame as I love the cursive text. You never hear people knocking the font on a Glasshutte. Great video as always Rob. Nice to see this little watch getting some attention. 👍
I’ve bought plenty of watch straps from them and never had a bad experience (their service is great as is the quality of their goods). They are based out of the UK and the only thing I’d mention is with my last order during COVID shipping took about 5 weeks for delivery to the USA (normal turnaround time in the past had been about a week).
You can tell the quality is superb with this watch. The only thing that may prevent me from going for it is the hour marks, it's little too dressy for a dive watch. I'm a sucker for chunky hour marks on divers.
Ive bought a leather strap from geckota and it was a nice brown handman italian strap. Very nice, needed a bit of breaking in but it seems to be really good quality for the money
Hello, I would like to order the watch and I just wanted to know how the quality of the watch is, whether you might have other watches that you could compare with it?
Was always curious about these. Never had a Gekota watch but I’ve had good luck with a bracelet I got from them (and keep in mind they do nice sales). Don’t recall the shipping speed but I definitely got it in a reasonable amount of time.
For reasons best known to themselves they got rid of the display caseback and beads of rice bracelet and the price now is around 560 USD, it's a real shame but having said that it's still a beautiful watch
They want $549 for it with the PT5000 now. I do have a watch that uses that movement and it's one of my most accurate watches. Plus, to go buy just the PT5000 movement, it's $100.
My understanding is colorway implies color combination. For example gilt + black is a different colorway from white dial + orange bezel + silver markers and hands.
Always interested, but baffled by the lack of presence online with reviews. Hard to choose a watch when all you have is heavily photoshopped pictures on their website
Hello, I would like to order the watch and I just wanted to know how the quality of the watch is, whether you might have other watches that you could compare with it?
I really watch this watch but they're charging over $500 for it without a display case back and a Jubilee bracelet. To see what they were selling for $299, I'm going to have to pass on this.
Everything I have ordered from Geckota has arrived promptly and has been top quality. Their 10 for 10 series was enjoyable to watch as well.
I've always lusted over the orange bezel one. Never bought it cause there are just no reviews online
Purchased a chronotimer recently and the finish is flawless.... Exceptional watches for the price.
The coin edge on that bezel is perfect. 👌
The coin edge is beautiful!
Tons of vintage cues with solid materials 👌

I love the effect on the non-10 multiples of 5 around the bezel.
Bought some leather straps from them in the past. Excellent products. No issues with shipping to Australia. 👍
Yep - straps to Australia no problem. Good quality. They sell out of popular straps in 20-22mm pretty regularly so you might have to be patient.
Yes good straps
I’ve ordered from Geckota. Some straps and a few SKX inserts. They ship quickly. No issues whatsoever. All good quality too.
Their straps and bracelets have proven to be very good in my opinion.
I have nothing but great service from these guys. Fast delivery, almost equal to Gnomon's. Their straps and bracelets are great for the price point.
Aside from the thickness I love this one
Bought a lot of straps and about 3 or 4 bracelets from Watchgecko. Great quality and good service.
Have this watch. lovely accurate watch. I fall in love every now and then when I see it
Hello, I would like to order the watch and I just wanted to know how the quality of the watch is, whether you might have other watches that you could compare with it?
I bought some metal bracelets from watchgecko last year and they're great. I took advantage of their phenomenal Christmas sale.

Do you still have this watch? If so, how do you like it one year on?
great balance in the design-harmonious.👍

The Geckota chronographs look really cool.
Nice review, Rob, thanks. Looks like a great watch, especially for the price.
Only bought straps and bracelets and both service and products have both been good. I’m UK-based.
Looks like an absolutely amazing value well done Geckota
Thanks for the review, don't see Gekota very often and this is nice.
liking that case shape!
I have a Geckota E-01. 36mm Sensational little watch, punching way above its weight.
It's a really intriguing watch, and a pretty sweet deal.
I've been thinking of picking up a beads of rice bracelet. That one looks good.
You can tell the quality is superb with this watch. The only thing that may prevent me from going for it is the hour marks, it's little too dressy for a dive watch. I'm a sucker for chunky hour marks on divers.
Thx for the review! Wasn't aware of this new retro diver, looks awesome!
WHHOOAAAAA.... This is the first time I've been blown away by a geckota watch.
Ive bought a leather strap from geckota and it was a nice brown handman italian strap. Very nice, needed a bit of breaking in but it seems to be really good quality for the money
Looks great. Good size too.
one of my fave pieces for sure...so goddamned comfortable to wear
Hello, I would like to order the watch and I just wanted to know how the quality of the watch is, whether you might have other watches that you could compare with it?
It looks like a quality watch for the money.
Been looking at these for a while, look great for the money
Was always curious about these. Never had a Gekota watch but I’ve had good luck with a bracelet I got from them (and keep in mind they do nice sales). Don’t recall the shipping speed but I definitely got it in a reasonable amount of time.
Super quick shipping!! Ordered dozens of straps. I really want the Pepsi version! Bad.
I'm looking at the pepsi dial right now. Can't decide...
For reasons best known to themselves they got rid of the display caseback and beads of rice bracelet and the price now is around 560 USD, it's a real shame but having said that it's still a beautiful watch
Hope they make more than just 100 pieces for each color!
The green bezel is calling my name!
I have a bracelet from them, great quality and it arrived quickly.
Seriously thought you were reviewing a genuine 70s watch for moment....
Like the hand set
dang, for sub 400 dollars, what a bargain
400 for a Chinese movement, ETA costs 600
They want $549 for it with the PT5000 now.
I do have a watch that uses that movement and it's one of my most accurate watches. Plus, to go buy just the PT5000 movement, it's $100.
Thanks. No to start a discussion here why I need the one with the orange bezel...
Hard to find long term ownership reviews on this brand.
Barring the handset, it's not dissimilar from the Sinn 104.
The hands on the 104 are really different, but the Geckota is very cool. I would prefer the green one.
Thanks for showing.
I love geckota watches i have the racing 🏎 watch very nice
hey i'm thinking about whether i should buy one too, the watch is good from the processing
From a glance I could have mistaken it as Sinn 104.
Do you think is worth to sell my Steinhart ocean one 39 with sw200 movement and buy one of those Geckota but with pt5000?
What's the difference between a color and a color way?
My understanding is colorway implies color combination. For example gilt + black is a different colorway from white dial + orange bezel + silver markers and hands.
I love the Geckota G-02 the limited version. But they can't ship to my country :(
What the price of this watch?
Seen them listed for 80 dollars...are they fake at that price?
Never seen it before, cool
Always interested, but baffled by the lack of presence online with reviews. Hard to choose a watch when all you have is heavily photoshopped pictures on their website
This one's pretty.
I own a G01 and have G02 with PT 5000 movement on the way
Hello, I would like to order the watch and I just wanted to know how the quality of the watch is, whether you might have other watches that you could compare with it?
@@victormucke2960 The watch is very good quality, and you will not be disappointed. I would compare it with Richard LeGrand or Obris Morgan.
Mine has screw pins
Great review, but I am sure this has been hi-jacked by WatchesForU. I am trying to report them, but could do with more evidence.
I asked them to stop using my video. But they copied it and have stole it. Not much more I can do.
I really watch this watch but they're charging over $500 for it without a display case back and a Jubilee bracelet. To see what they were selling for $299, I'm going to have to pass on this.
No way Id pay £499 for a chinese clone of an ETA movement😢
Good thing you're not. You're paying that for a watch
First
Nailed it
Worst brand name ever. For people who like geckos and North/South Dakota?
I really like the name and the font style. Not everybody is from USA.
Sounds as classy as a Fiat Multipla 🤭
