Thanks for your review as it helped me select this product for the upcoming wet summer season. The detail that you put into it and testing out different rooms was fantastic.
How does this compare to the Breville dehumidifier you reviewed?
Cool Seasons is better in cold temperatures. As he mentioned, it should work fine around 1 degree Celsius up to hot temps. I have a Breville but it's a compressor dehumidifier as opposed to this desiccant one. It stops to defrost itself when the air is too cold. (It's freezing during winter here and I bought the wrong kind of dehumidifier. Quite annoying as I can't keep it going for long periods when really cold.) He gives enough information about this stuff throughout the video lol.
Is it quiet? Will it be bothersome In a bedroom when trying to sleep?
I am going to look at ordering this, looks like a great dehumidifier, so compact and quiet!

Great review. Does this unit have a hepa or ionising filter like some of its competition from the likes of DeLonghi and Breville? How loud is it for sleeping with and running it at night? Keep up the great work.

@@MrYouWho thanks for the reply. Yes we ended up getting a Breville LAD208. We actually had 4 afferent units before that which were all faulty! The quality control is disgraceful in this day and age!
That's great thank for letting me know. Yes 4 units is terrible, I guess at least we have warranties.
How is the Breville?
@@MrYouWho it's done a great job keeping mould away in our master bedroom and ensuite bathroom. It's not being used so much at the moment because the weather is warmer and there's not much by way of humidity where we live in Victoria at the moment.. I'm thinking of getting the slightly larger LAD308 or LAD250 down the track when they're on sale so that it's kept in the bedroom and the LAD208 that we already have will stay in the ensuite bathroom. It works very well getting rid of the moisture build up in the shower and floor tiles. It's also not overly noisy, unlike the faulty LAD708 that sounded like a freight train so we took it back for a refund. We also had an LAD250 that omitted a strong chemical odour when in use that pervaded the room. It too was faulty! We then got a DeLonghi DEXD216F that didn't have a night mode and wasn't working properly, followed by an Ausclimate 20L and it too sounded like a freight train and was a faulty unit. In this case, the young, arrogant, smarmy salesman at Harvey Norman tried to gaslight me into believing that it wasn't faulty and was going to charge me a 20% 'restocking fee'. Even the excellent and friendly Ausclimate rep said that it was faulty and too return it to the store! I got the LAD208 from JB Hifi on sale and, touch wood, it's been working fine so far!

How does this work if you are using an air purifier as well?

I found one that was 160 on Amazon priced at 100 and with a 50% coupon. Not the same one but I feel like I hit the jackpot. My compressor dehumidifier gave up. It's hissing and the bathroom is so humid

Will this be able to dehumidify a 3 bedroom house?
Yes it could but I would do 1 area at a time. Depending on the amount of moisture you could leave it there for a few days and then move to the next rooom! :)

It's actually not very loud, where were you looking at using it?
@@MrYouWho living spaces , ya know reading a book with it on in the background. Don't wanna have annoying background noise.
Also, in or near sleeping areas on low mode of course. I read in one review that there is some sort of resonant noise that isn't present when the machine is on high.

You repeat yourself a lot and that made it difficult to appreciate the detail you have put into things. You over explain irrelevant details. Run a dot point script and hit points, as a suggestion.
Your question time around how the dehumidifier works should perhaps have been at the beginning as context, not more that 3/4 through the video.
Having said that i find myself watching your videos because you're the only one that i can find reviewing these products that doesn't seem like a paid presentation.

I also 100% agree with you as I have grown my channel and gotten experienced I have made my videos better. If you can have a look at my last couple of videos I’ve upgraded lighting, use mics, teleprompters scripts etc. back then it was just my phone and a tripod.
It was a lot harder then as I had to remember everything as I was talking.
