Funny thing about the ballad of the Costa Concordia and my own personal experience with it, I stayed up until 7am to talk to the band on discord, and when I had to go to bed, Will said “thanks for staying up!” I just connected the dots, with those lyrics, me staying up late at night listening to that song and feeling those lyrics. Cool coincidence, huh?

I'm glad you really love those records. I chose to tackle the ones I connected with more on a personal level. Doesn't take away from the high quality though-Monomania, HTLT, and MBIKMB are all amazing records. I just connected with them less, plus CSH has like 15 albums. If I went into all of them it would be an excruciatingly long video
same, they're his most polished albums alongside MADLO, but his other work is extremely rewarding to listen to despite (or because of) their rough edges.

I found "Bodys" when I was struggling to propose to my crush. The first lines of the song hit me way hard.The nervouseness,shyness,fear everything.I'd just put on the song and hear it again and again cause It was like someone was singing me my life.
Finally,I proposed in the new year and got rejected.
Through it all,I'd constantly play Body's just cause the song matched so much with my life.The chorus makes me cry whenever I listen to it.
After the rejection,I went ahead and listened to the entire twin fantasy album and it just hit me so bad.
No other artist has struck me like this.
I'm never getting the romance I dreamt so much of and I'm only to blame for it. But I found car seat headrest in these tough times so I guess it happened for the better😅
As a currently 19 year old girl, I feel like you have a similar perceptive of this band as I do and captured exactly why this band means so much to me. They've been my comfort band since high school and I'm still finding new meaning in their songs in my sophmore year of college. Thank you for making this video, it really perfectly encapsulates a feeling that I thought I was alone in :))

do you think that will is trying to make less personal music now that he is very well known? hence “making a door less open”. in my opinion, i like the album. obviously not as much as his others. but it definitely involves less humility and just less interpersonal lyrics. what are your thoughts?
I definitely find this interesting. From what I’ve gathered, it seems like he wanted to go in a more lighthearted direction and took inspiration from dance and pop music in creating MADLO, which I personally enjoyed. If he wants to get less personal, I support it and don’t necessarily see it as a loss (especially since it’s not always healthy to force our favorite artists to keep opening personal wounds for us with their songwriting if they no longer want to). We have the luxury of having over 10 CSH albums where he got super personal, and if I really need that itch scratched I can always go back and listen to those. That’s my personal take on it, but others might feel differently
