Try Rocksmith.. it’s kinda cheesy at first but it’ll get you started being familiar with different aspects of playing
Mia Williams, it’s a learning curve just like anything, but learn things that are exciting and don’t wait for your teacher to randomly select something for you. Also, don’t be afraid to ask your teacher to teach you something specific. At this level of skill, the teacher is most likely adeptly ear trained and can learn the song by listening to it.

I know this comment is old, but it's so relatable. My room is short, so if I have the fan on and I'm taking my guitar off [when it's on with a strap], I end up hitting my headstock on it, leaving a white mark that scratches it. I've done it only once...but to all of my guitars except one, including a new one.

In case of that not happening I always keep a box full of guitar equipment and never move it to a different place
It's happened to me so many times I finally bought a thing called "The Pick Punch", you can make your own picks out of all kinds of things, like the plastic lid of an ice cream bucket, casino cards, etc.
If I lose one I just make another.

One of the most embarrassing things for me is plugging your cable into the headphone jack and not realising why there’s no sound from your amp...

YES. And holding your guitar upside down trying to get the pick to come back out the hole before eventually giving up and conceding "Welp, it belongs to the guitar now...."
F holes are way worse. like, 2 * 10 to the power of Infinity worse than in a sound hole
Nathan Ross It's actually really easy to retrieve them once you get the technique down.
First, make them fall down by pointing the neck up and shaking, then make the guitar horizontal facing away from you, and tilt it to the left so that the pick is in the upper part of the guitar just below the neck.
Now here comes the fun part, lift your guitar up and quickly turn it so that it now faces towards you.
With a little practice , you'll be able to get your picks out in no time. I actually like to store picks inside the guitar so they don't get lost, and take them out whenever I fell like playing.

When I got a 9 volt battery for my distortion pedal, it was fine...
For 2 minutes.
You need to unplug the input and output jacks after you turn it off. They drain the battery even when not on because the pedal is always on standby when plugged in.

Hey, not all guitar players have their guitars below their waste or on it. I play really high with my arm around the bottom by the lower strap peg, from behind the bridge. Its never failed me

My friend, one time he screwed with the tuning pegs while I was playing. Once he did it, I said "Dude, the hell!". He stopped, but I get it, the tuning pegs are fun to turn. Though, it is way more fun to actually play the damn guitar.

I had a friend that played my Ibanez and tried to use the whammy bar and stripped it. It would't move fluently. Luckily i was able to get it fixed but if i let him use it again i might need to buy a whole new bridge.

Stuff in the pocket, then when I'm finally ready to play I find out the guitar is out of tune; building calouses, man I can totally relate to most of what you showed on this video. And you tell them with great sense of humor. Something that also happened to me was that I usually practice sat on my bed with a small 3 Watt amp, so the guitar was almost touching the mattress just where the plug is located. So I had to get a 90 degree cable to avoid the original one to eventually break from bending. And it's quite hard to find the right pick that's comfortable to play with, so when I go to the music store, as it's far from home, I end up buying different ones to cover most possibilities.

What hes playing isn't as hard as you think, its a 3 finger pattern with all alternate picking, just follow the pattern slowly and you'll get it.
