I used kinda the same advise to this one but then changed strategy a bit: put two teleporters(3-5blocks away from each other) so when one gets occupied by cthulnado you will still have back up. And better to not have walls since they are the reason why cthulnado spawning: they hit the walls and trigger spawning. Personally I did not like this kind of killing this boss: boring, long and still can get killed on the second stage of fight. Much better to fight him with fast mount and the shell that turns you into fishfolk, thus being able to fight him under water

I got a problem. I have been tryin to kill duke for about 7 tries now and I keep dying to hime spawning the sharknado right next to me and then getting hit by it. And when I teleport to the other side duke is waiting for me and is ready to charge at me and kill me in an instance. I have an asphalt bridge over the ocean. Is this the cause of the problem?
@@Alpha-Kenny-Body Its more like I am in a box with the teleporter and duke comes to me and he does his bubble attack, so I teleport to the other side and then I cant teleport back, because the sharknado would kill me and then I die.
Instead of using smart cursor (because it can be stupid sometimes), you can use a pressure plate that won't break when you use instead that connects each block you need to keep teleport back and forth and to use it, just press jump while shooting and then quickly aim cursor to the boss
I just build a smaller box with the hoiks, then a bigger box around the smaller box with hoiks. that way it is impossible for the tornados to get near you unless duke fishron goes inside the box and shoots out the tornado

It work, you just don't quickly teleport away when he teleports behind you, because this method even work on FTW master mode (I once played this world and already beat the moon lord)
Not sure what difficulty you played, but on master mode his enraged state till has a 2nd and 3rd phase that completely fucks up a sky rail cheese strat due to him stopping in place for a couple seconds every so often.
Be aware although this gets you the loot it's not fun. Please play the game how you want but actually fight him sometime, hes a really good fight and has good challenge.
From the shore to almost near the end of the map, but the closer the teleporters, the easier you can aim at the boss, but at a cost of high chance of being hit by his ranged attacks (Detonating bubbles, Sharkrons)
For the people who want to suffer and enjoy early-hardmode, don't kill Duke or you will bore because boss became too easy. Or have fun killing easily.

You could also set the teleporters up to timers so you don’t have to stop aiming to press the switch to teleport
just use smart cursor, then you dont need to move your mouse at all

No, duke goes through blocks, the wall is just to hit the phase 2 cthulhunadoes and stop them so they don't land on a teleporter
He leaves the gap so the bullets can hit the duke while on the other side of the wall.
