What a man! Mr. McDowell was in the legendary "Clockwork Orange." He got to do the historical H.G. Wells, and prove himself capable of playing a nice and heroic guy. He was the eventual killer of Captain Kirk. And he bravely faced down Michael in "Halloween" (2007). ✝
man the voice he does to president eden in fallout 3 is just awesome!
I think he said that because when "McDowell" and "Director" are mentioned in the same sentence you automatically think of Kubrick...when he mentioned Kubrick he was just clarifying.
did not anyone else loved him clock work oragne? i did and i loved it. loved him on the show heroes (which got better with him then latered screwed when he lift) and anything else he's in.
Hes nephew is Alexander siddig, and they are both very similar!
great bolshy yarblockos to anyone who thinks the lovely Mr. McDowell is anything short of brilliant
I love this man - so so underrated
did u know Malcolm McDowell played the voice of the president on fallout 3
come and take one in the yarbles if you have any yarbles!!
FIRSTPOST! lol ust kidding. i lovee malcolm mcdowell, always have. me and the missus just watched caligula. never seem to be able to finnish it....
I love his voiceover in Killzone 3
wat movie was thatt i forget
I would love to see this man do a movie with Morgan Freeman!
He looked SEXY as the 2007 Dr. Sam Loomis.
Cabbages, knickers, It hasn't got A BEAK!
Alex!
Mcdewl is a great actor I cant wait till he and Tyler Mane act in the sequal to Zombies Halloween though the only thing that would make Mcdewl Better with Loomis would be if Donald Pleasence came and tought him a little bit that would make it all the more entertaining
You probably won’t reply but what did you think of it
hes no donald pleasance but he created his own dr loomis which is unique :)
Really? Because I always felt Donald Pleasence was the comic relief of the Halloween movies. Could be because his dialogue was soooo over the top and hokey. Rock on, Malcolm!
As good an actor as he is proclaimed to be,, he did absolutely no justice to the role of Dr. Loomis that Donald Pleasence created.
He blew it basically.
Ok, for starters, to even say the names Rob Zombie and Stanely Kubrick in the same sentence.......gimme a break.
@mikeknight4u Lol it is true. McDowell is such a class act. So much respect.
im President John Henry Eden and i approve this message :)
He is such a great actor. He was great in Halloween but he was horrible in Halloween 2, I heard them making Dr. Loomis a jerk was his idea so I'm mad at him for that.
He's great in Halloween
He sucks in Halloween 2
Loomis was already a jerk in Halloween 5.
@Daphuhnuh He hasn't got an American accent.
gangster no1. malcom is fanstasic, rob has yet to prove himself but malcom is right he is a great director but hasnt spread his wings yet, malcom knows a good director when he see's one, as in the clip he says rob is no stanly but he has the passion to be one of the greats. i love horror and house of 1000 corpses is a fav of mine but i hope he will direct something that will prove what he is to the rest of the film industry. he diserves credit but not for what he has done...yet
we all love malcom mcdowell, but i always get the strangest feeling watching him now that he is really detached from what's going on around him... hasn't seen a horror film since the exorcist, thinks Rob Zombie directs something other than horror films, I swear I think the guy just stays in his house all day and night and occasionally comes out to go to a movie set.
you eunuch jelly, thou...
I know Pleasence is dead I'm just saying that what if he was alive
he was such a better dr loomis than donald pleaseance!!!!!
Yes if YOU got shot you would die but you're not the inhuman soulless powerhouse that is Michael Myers, you can't kill evil. Plus Carpenter's Halloween is better than this streak of piss.
Notice how Malcolm chooses his words carefully. This was a paycheck for him. Can't believe Weinstein produced this film. Eww....
MM is cool, but sucked as Dr. Loomis in the new Halloween. No one can touch Donald Pleasence at Dr. Loomis!
I guess, however, this film was a piece of shit. It really was, and she specifically asked how he categorizes them with some of the greats, and he isnt even in the same league of any of the greats. His music is sick, but his films not so much. And to say he has the same intensity as Kubrick, I find that majorly hard to beleive, if he was nearly as perfection oriented as kubrick was, then this movie would have actually been decent lol.
