Thanks nurse Dera, please I’d like to ask a question, my flow ended on the 1st of sept, my fertile days started on 4th Monday, my ovulation day is supposed to be on the 9th Saturday which I didn’t have any discharge as a possible sign of ovulation. I had an unprotected sex on the 5th Tuesday and took an emergency contraceptive pill that same day but woke up this morning 10th Sunday experiencing some bleeding pls nurse it’s my first time ever what could be the cause? I’m supposed to see my next flow from the 13th of this month.Does this means pregnancy ? I haven’t experienced this before pls help.

@@sayra936 If you’re 25, 26 or 27 days cycle, your next flow should start around 23rd of this month not on 13th. And if your ovulation is on 9th, it is too early for implantation symptoms (bleeding) which signifies pregnancy. My advice for you is once you confirm it is not menstrual flow, please go to the hospital and get yourself checked out.

You can buy an LH test strip and start testing with your urine from a day or two after your period. There are two lines on the strip, one is faint line and the other one is bold line, the bold line is the control line, so your focus should be on the faint line. Keep monitoring the faint line daily till the day the line darkens and becomes bold like the control line or even thicker than the control line. That means you have tested positive and you are likely to ovulate in the next 12 - 24 hours. But I will still advice you to do a blood test in the lab for FSH and LH, that is more reliable.

Anovulatory means no ovulation. Your doctor will prescribe some drugs that will help stimulate your ovaries to produce eggs. That is drugs that will help stimulate ovulation. There are so many of them, but it will be best for the prescription to come from your doctor.
