- Besides the emotional trauma of losing their baby and the physical trauma from having a D&C and often losing a Fallopian tube, the single biggest question I get from women that had an ectopic pregnancy ask “Why?”. So I listed 7 major factors I see in women’s cases that increase the chance of having an ectopic pregnancy. Some may be known to you but I am 100% sure a couple will be a surprise!
It is one of the hardest things to go through. Not only have you lost your baby, but your body has experienced physical trauma as well. You may not have wanted to have that D&C, you may have lost a tube. Many women lose faith in their body or even feel angry with it and are wondering why on earth they had an ectopic pregnancy in the first place. So in this video we will talk about 7 reasons for ectopic pregnancies. I have an 8 year old son, but looking for my second child, I had 3 miscarriages back in 2017. In the first one, baby didn't had heart beating at 8 weeks. The second miscarriage was of an empty sac and the last one was an ectopic. I lost my right tube but I had ovulated with my left ovary in that cycle. I guess I was affected by inflammation. The good news is that now I am 33 weeks pregnant of a healthy and beautiful baby girl. Good luck to all women that are still waiting for baby to arrive🙏

Thank you so much for making this video. Ectopic pregnancy doesn't get nearly enough attention in my opinion and there are very few reliable sources of information out there. Doctors often say it was just bad luck, and that can be incredibly frustrating, leaving you totally helpless.
I had an ectopic pregnancy back in 2018 from an IUI procedure. I had taken fertility drugs to prep for the IUI. But it didn’t work out for me as we had planned it. My left tube were removed as a result of internal bleeding from the ectopic pregnancy. As soon as we stopped all fertility treatments, we got pregnant naturally the cycle after my ectopic pregnancy and gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Now we’re trying to conceive with baby #2. Your videos are so informative and very insightful! Thank you so much for these resourceful videos! I love them!

Just had surgery two days ago for this...im 22. was almost 7 weeks and rushed to the hospital because i had a shooting pain, pain that i've never felt in my entire life. Pain that i wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.
Turns out, I ruptured my fallopian tube, lost over a liter of blood, and almost died. The fetus was lodged halfway in my uterus, and my tube, which is why they couldn't see it in the ultrasounds. I am very sad that I lost another pregnancy, but am so glad that i am alive, to try again in the future. The doctors saved my life. I am ever so grateful.

Thank you for this insight! I've had an ectopic pregnancy in 2017, a miscarriage in 2018 , 2019 was a year of healing, and then Jan of 2020 I experienced another ectopic pregnancy... To which I had an HSG found right tube is partially blocked but all the pain is on the left side. I continue to have pain on the left side on onset of period. I'm excited for your next video!

Your advice is so helpful. I always write down your suggestions to take with me whenever I go to see my gynecologist. I will be ttc in for the first time after my ectopic pregnancy April 2019. I have a schedule HSG test coming up. I'm sure your other video will be of great help to me.

Your channel has put a lot of things in perspective for me. I was diagnosed with a STD about 18 years ago but I'm thinking I may have had it for years and didn't know about it (was sexually active at a young age). This has affected my fertility tremendously. I'm 37 years old, married, and we are trying for our first child together. I had an ectopic pregnancy back in 2008 and my right tube was shortened and there is scar tissue around it (had an HSG done in 2019). I had fibroid removal surgery back in 2013 (robotic myomectomy) and was advised my fibroids are back as of June 2020 (I have 4 of them). I also have a cyst on my left ovary. I'm starting to worry that having a child is out of the realm of possibilities for me due to my sexual immaturity in my earlier years. I'm going to start taking Arnica and Calc Fluor soon and I've also just started taking Maca Root. Do you have any more suggestions that may help me on this journey? Thank you again :)
Are you taking these supplements to shrink/get rid of fibroids? I have a 9cm fibroid in my uterus and just had a tubal pregnancy (they think because of the fibroid pushing on the Fallopian tube). I was diagnosed with the fibroid in 2018 but never got surgery, as it was only 3cm then. The surgeon is also now suggesting I have the fibroid removed. If they can grow back, why operate? Was your fibroid removal surgery invasive? Sorry for all the questions, I am desperate for advice after what has happened.
I have had three ectopic pregnancies, one of which ruptured and I had to be given 3 pints of blood and stayed in the Hospital for five days. One tube was completely damaged, thus removed, and the second has been tied off, therefore no children for me. It took me several years to understand, then deal with my loss, as it weighed heavily on my heart!

Yes, they are absolutely safe! I would probably not detox metals while nursing as the metals could go into the milk. Looking forward to meeting you!
Hello first time to see your video .. I had surgery 5days ago and It's very painful my left fallopian tube was ruptured and the blood was scattered I fainted and rush for emergency operation also my ovary was taken .. I thank God I'd survive it is my second life and I thank Him for using the doctors in saving mg life... thanks for this video .. It is very informative..
We started ttc this LO in 2019. It took us about 4 years and 5 IUIs before we were successful!!! We're so excited for this baby. Our kids will be almost 7 years apart
THANK YOU! I have had two ectopic pregnancies back to back in each tube. My remaining left tube is in good condition as shown by the HSG test. _I just found out this morning_ that I am pregnant again! I literally cannot believe it and I'm so scared of it being another ectopic.

Im so sorry.. same here i had and ectopic backbin april of 2020 in my right side and they also gave me the methotrexate.. i was wondering if you also suffer from cramps on you side that occurred??? Because every since my ectopic i been cramping just in my right side when i start my period or when i Ovulate

You must have been reading my mind, Ingefleur. I suffered an ectopic pregnancy in January of this year and lost my right Fallopian tube. I have many fertility obstacles including 35 years old, Hypothyroidism (after having radioactive iodine treatment for Grave's Disease), endometriosis, and a fibroid. We have been trying all year with no luck so I am worried my other tube may be blocked. I love all of your videos and your helpful advice which I have implemented. I have hope that our little miracle will be along soon, and can't wait for your next video to see what else I might be able to do to increase my chances. Thank you for what you do!

I am pretty much in the same situation. 37 years old, lost my right tube a few days ago and lots of chances that the left one is blocked. Initially I had a miscarriage through ivf, after which got pregnant naturally, but it was ectopic. Hope ivf2 will work for us, as me and my husband are praying for a baby.
I made my choice to have the TR because it was much less expensive than IVF and it gave us a chance to try each and every month after the surgery. Also if we decided to have more than 1, we had that option. I ended up pregnant 6 months after the surgery but it ended up in the tube, so that was sad. 6 month's after that I got pregnant again and am currently due Feb 19th. All is good with this one so far and we are excited to have a baby boy come Feb. Good luck in making a decision on this, just depends on your personal needs.

Thank you for this, I believe it was my weight, also the plan B I took which threw off my hormones. I had a ruptured ectopic pregnancy and it was hard. Right now I’m working on just eating healthier and getting to a healthy weight.

I'm currently 10 days post op of my tube ruptured due to ectopic..this is my 2nd ectopic..both in same tube. I am devastated. I was almost 7 weeks I had a great team of doctors the closely monitored I had three visits to the hospital for additional scans and blood work... if it wasn't from my doctor and the hospital I may not have been here today. I was bleeding internally.. what was crazy I had no physical symptoms at all...This is my fourth loss. Once I heal I will have my remaining tube checked. I don't wish this physical and mental pain than anybody but I am thankful that I am not alone. I will be watching your videos and how to take better care of myself and help preventing another one❤❤❤

Hi, thank you so much for doing these videos. It really helps those of us who have had an ectopic understand just a little bit more of what was happening with our bodies. My doctor also told me that it was just “bad luck”. I had my ectopic in June 2020 and had my left Fallopian tube removed. I don’t have any of the risk factors that you mentioned in the video. But I am very curious, as I had mastitis and a 105 degree fever the day that I believe I was ovulating. I was treated with antibiotics for the mastitis. And then 3 weeks later, found out I was pregnant and then that it was an ectopic pregnancy. Do you think the super high fever and mastitis infection could have been a possible cause for the ectopic? As always, an excellent insightful video Ingefleur! Fleur although Ive never suffered an ectopic, i did suffer an ovarian cyst this month at the time
of ovulation - this caused so much pain on the right ovary and right side. Could you please make a video in the future about how to prevent ovarian cyst development at the time of ovulation? My OB said its when the egg bursts from follicle and the blood gets trapped in the follicle and it doesn’t fully drain. What can we do to ensure strong ovulation to prevent this from happening ? Also can you think of an instance where the right ovary is more active than the left? What could cause ovulation from one side always even if everything structurally is intact. It seems I always ovulate from the right and never the left.
That's a good question lovely. As far as one ovary being more active than the other, this could be due to past pill use possibly or because if tension in the area of one of the two ovaries. Those are 2 things off the top of my head!

Thank you so much. I just had a miscarriage last week 10/6/20. This was a planned pregnancy. I am heartbroken but I am working through it. I think it was ectopic because when I had my ultrasound the week before they could not see any evidence of pregnancy. I was so early on that they could not confirm if it was ectopic or not. I have very long and irregular cycles, 60-90 days, so my Doctor is encouraging me to keep trying. I have also been dealing with high grade abnormal paps for the past 3 years. It reduced to low grade in July, so that was good news. I'm all messed up, but I am trying to figure it all out and find a way to get regular and balanced.

I do remember when we had unprotected sex i used the emergency pill but after a day which i thought wouldnt be a problem but im thinking did the emergency pill cause my ectopic pregnancy? Because i took it one day after

I am thinking that endometriosis may have been a problem I had in the past (very painful periods from 13 to 20 years), but I don't have it anymore now after changing my diet. My periods are not painful anymore and very regular, also my temperature charts look good. However, scar tissue formed then, can of course still prevent conception now. I am currently taking serrapeptase + protease enzymes for this now. Can you cover these in the next video ? I am curious what you think about using these for scarring.

I’ve had an a ectopic pregnancy last year it was in my right ovary I’m very fortunate to say my ovary was saved and I’m currently on TTC journey my period is due in 3 days hopefully this will be my month if not it’s what it’s I’ll keep trying it till my miracle happens In shaa Allaah keep your hopes up.

I've just discovered that I have a short luteal phase which means low progesterone? I also read it can be caused by high prolactin. And I am currently breastfeeding. It's been a month since I got my left fallopian tube removed. Found out I was pregnant July 4th 2 weeks later I started bleeding then l went to my prenatal appointment. They said the sac was empty and saw something in the tube thought it could be a cyst. Had to get a better ultrasound but went to that appointment and they said I had to get an appointment for a radiology. Mind you I was in so much pain that I took so many pills and it didn't do anything. I kept passing out felt so weak it hurted to breathe. So I just went to the emergency and luckily I did my tube had ruptured and fluid was filling my stomach if I would had waited a day or more I would not be alive. Prior to this pregnancy I was pregnant in the beginning of the year and lost my daughter at 5months pregnant due to development issues so going through an ectopic pregnancy was really hard for me but I'm still hopeful .

I'm not sure lovely, but it is possible for an embryo that is placed in the uterus to travel up to the Fallopian tube, weird right....? I think it has to do with the procedure, not the embryo "rolling up" so to speak.

I think there isn't a quick answer to that honestly... does steroid use affect your hormone balance? Yes. Could that mean you don't ovulate or hold onto a pregnancy? Possibly. However, steroid use is mostly only 1 of the factors involved. Usually the adrenals were struggling already. Have a look at ingefleur.com/detox to read more about steroids and fertility. I just had surgery due to an interstitial ectopic pregnancy, I lost the top corner of my uterus and right tube (which was already cut after a tubal ligation years ago) There were two gestational sacs, but only one with a visible fetal pole at 7 weeks. This all happened after having an IVF procedure, and has literally been a nightmare situation for my body and the loss of at least one baby, if not two has been hard. ☹️. I can’t try again until my uterus heals in a few months. Honestly scared to try again. ☹️

My mom’s first pregnancy was ectopic. It occurred in her left Fallopian tube and while it didn’t need to be removed, she suspects she has scarring in the tube from the surgery. Funnily enough, when I had an HSG it was discovered that my left Fallopian tube has a malformation (so narrowed that it can’t be cleared). So I only have 1 working tube which is a little scary to think about. I had an emergency C-section with our son and ever since getting my period back postpartum, I usually have pelvic aching/pain during ovulation. It is very noticeable this cycle and it’s like my entire pelvis aches! I am a little scared that I have scarring/adhesions in my pelvis from the C-section.
Wow, seems like you inherited something from your mom right?? How interesting. I can imagine you are concerned about adhesions from the c-section, definitely look out for the remedies I mention in the next video for post surgery & for scarring! I'd love to know if you notice the pain reducing over the months, I wouldn't be surprised if you did.

Thank you for your informative videos. I had an ectopic pregnancy rupture and lost right Fallopian tube. I have a hemorrhagic cyst about 5cm in the left ovary. Recently I was found to have fluid in the abdominal cavity. I usually have pain and nausea. With these issues, is it advisable to try to conceive naturally. I am more than 35 and no children.

I just had my first ectopic pregnancy + surgery. I believe the abortion pill i took after i gave birth to my first child. Caused it. I had an emergency C-section on 16 April 2023 and lost my son 5th of May due to Meconium and prolonged labour. I am currently 21 and am pregnant with my first child, well I thought I was perfectly fine until.... I started to bleed, got really bad stomach and abdomen pain, back pain and everything just felt strange. Today after thinking that I was 8 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby after doing 3 pregnancy tests that came up positive and a blood test that also came up positive I realized that I was not facing a normal pregnancy and in fact it was an ectopic pregnancy. I have had 2 ultrasound scans done (one just today) and both show no baby and the thing is that the specialists including gynecologists' told me nothing, but me having a medical background I managed to work it out on my own. Today was the day that I realized after hours and hours of crying that God can give you a blessing in a second and also take it away if you forget about him. @VI Vi honestly it's a daunting and traumatizing experience. The ectopic pregnancy feels like really really bad stomach cramps and very bad back pain to the point where I would start to bawl my eyes out because I just couldn't take the pain anymore. It was like having knives stabbed into my back and stomach at the same time while bleeding.

I know how you felt. Ectopic pregnancy is super scary. And i went though the same mindset as you. On top of doctors saying that i would not get pregnant again.
In 2006 i lost a baby and i lost my tube and never thought i waa as able to have any more kids.
I now have 2 beautiful kids after my etopic.
After surgery i went though a huge depression and asked the same question why me. I cant give you a reason but i hope to give up a little hope. That it does get easier with time. Even to this day i wonder why.
