Bill loved her and she loved him. When he said to his daughter he knew what shooting :mommy would do to mommy, but not to him, that he felt sad, we see that he felt regret for hurting someone for the first time. He didn’t want her killed in her sleep, so he called off Elle. When she killed O-ren, he was warning Bud, but he really wanted her to win and to fulfill he destiny of the greatest warrior. Everyone puts up their fiercest attack, skilled assassins all, and Beatrix makes Bill proud by killing everyone including him. He’s been waiting for it. “How do I look?” Answered by “you look ready” shows she knew he wanted her to win and that he hated himself for shooting her. She had to kill him but hated having to, thus her uncontrollable crying after Bill’s death. Great movie!
42:19 The way I see it: even if Bill could stay put and not lose his heart or life, Kiddo would be able to easily kill him anyway. They both know it, so she lets him die his own way by walking it out.
Bill should have done the math: she disappeared 3 months ago, but look how far into her pregnancy she is!!! I guess he wasn't thinking when he . . . uh. . . ."overreacted" ???
That was an excellent point you made, about how the rest of the assassin team were prospering, but because Budd actually felt guilt for his part in the massacre, he was living a sh!tty, miserable life. That hadn’t occurred to me before (this is one of my favorites, and I’ve watched it multiple times), but Budd, as despicable and disgusting as he was, had something of a conscience. Good call.
Two Actors from from Part 1 appear in Part 2 playing different characters. The Sheriff from the Church Massacre plays the Pimp Estaban in Part 2. Pai Mei from Part 2 was the same Actor who played the Crazy 88 Leader Johnny Mo in Part 1 (he is older with an bald head and wearing a Kato mask).
The reason why the depiction on Pai Mei is so stereotypical is because most times the characters that look like him are actually him. Pai Mei is said to be very old. He pops up all over martial arts stuff.🙂
Never caught it till a poster on another KB reaction mentioned it - Bill was training her daughter BiBi to be an assassin as well. Yet another reason he had to die.
yea but thats good that she can defend herself or others. im sure if there were ever a sequel it would be Beatrix having to make amends with many things while also having to train Bibi everything, to pass on Pai Meis training, maybe she becomes a master trainer someday on her own mountain top haha
David Carradine was the star of a hit show in the early 70s called Kung Fu. A western, with gorgeous cinematography and soundtrack. Way ahead of its time. There's eps here in TH-cam. Ps... he died at 72 y/o, from erotic asphyxiation. Yeah, go figure. Dude, you should do some Jet Li films!! I feel like you'd love them. The writing and the fighting. They're really special. Plus, they'd be rare in TH-cam. So you'd prob get tons of new viewers.
@@Kay-Pee You're very welcome. And now you've got me excited. Dude, Jet Li is freaking badass. And a few of his are truly beautiful movies. Huh huh now I subbed. :))
I recently stumbled across your channel and I’m really enjoying your movie reactions. You’re always thinking and trying to pull it all together while being (unintentionally) sarcastic and funny. 😂😂
The actor of Pai Mei and Johnny Mo (the bald guy with kato mask as O-ren Ishii's underling) is Gordon Liu, he's a classic martial artist actor with Shaw Brothers in Hong Kong in the '70s.
The black car Elle was driving is a Pontiac Trans Am, looks like about a 1980. I haven’t had the pleasure of asking Tarantino this but I have heard that the purpose for the black & white scenes in the first half was a combination of keeping the rating at R and they were also running out of fake blood. 🤷♂️
Kill Bill 1 & 2 is a homage to the old Shaw Bros Kung Fu movies of the 1970s. Even the silhouette of the martial artists in front of a red background is a homage of Shaw Brothers. Btw, Pai Mei (Bak Mei) appeared in Shaw Brothers films where he was extremely light, and master his Qi to be almost invincible. His name means White Eyebrows and he is a folklore character. The hero that fought against Pai Mei in the Shaw Brothers movies is the actor that played Pai Mei in this movie.
This movie was awesome. Sometimes, I wonder if there should be a Kill Bill prequel that focuses on Bill, portraying him as the protagonist and depicting how he rose to power. It seemed as though everyone around the world knew him, and many of the top assassins were under his command, including an assassin who led a particular large Yakuza group. Moreover, he had control over more than one top assassin, each with their own unique skills and abilities.
@@aurorauplinks There actually is Pei Mei and Hattori Hanzo movie lol. The movie series is called Hattori Hanzo I think. I think thats how Samurai Showdown got the name for their Ninja character, was from those series, the Hattori Hanzo series. And Pei Mei is in one of the old Shaw brothers films. But the Pai Mei in kill bill is actually played by Gordon Liu, who played the protagonist that defeats Pai Mei in the old films.
And how he assembled the Deadly Viper Assassination Squad. And Each of their training and perhaps some missions that they went on.. I still wanted to see BUDD and Vernita sword Fight on one of their missions.
I don't agree with Bill's stance on Superman. Clark Kent isn't a critique of the human race, he represents Superman's desire to be a part of it. He was brought to Earth by destiny, the hand of fate deal it's card. Had he not been found by the Kent's and raised as a human, he wouldn't have used to the values they taught him to be the hero he grew to be.
ok but heres the question. Bud recalls that Bill wants a hanzo sword. why doesnt Bud he offer to sell the hanzo sword to bill, why doesnt he tell bill he captured her alive and he can still have her alive or dead. he doesnt do those things. he has said they deserve to die. and then he calls someone on the phone whom he seems to hate and says something insulting to, someone who has jealousy of Beatrix (Black Mamba) and offers to sell her the sword. he doesnt need the money. he could have sold his sword for money if he wanted. he could have sold either sword back to bill, his brother, who would have bought it. He wanted Elle, (eyepatches) to be at the trailer, because he is really good at reading people and predicting behavior. its the only explanation for why he offers to sell to her and purposely antagonizes her in the phone call as if inviting her to try to kill him along the way. He wants to give Beatrix a chance to escape and kill Elle, who is a danger to her if she catches her unaware. and he seems to predict his death a bit and plays the part. he doesnt try to kill elle in his last moments. he doesnt have a gun on him even. he didnt call her for money or to kill her, he called her, for Beatrix to have her revenge.
"keep your eyes on the road"....well, you right about that one. Uma Thurman actually had a serious car accident shooting Kill Bill and almost died. apparently she didn't want to drive herself but Tarentino insisted
"Everyone hates you, Bill!" Well. . .I think you might HAVE something there; Esteban Vihaio thought of Bill as a son, but he gave Bill's location up to a woman who wanted to KILL BILL; Hattori Hanzo swore never to make another sword, but willingly broke his promise so someone could kill Bill; Pai Mei taught no one that five step heart punch technique, but broke his own rule for someone who wanted to kill Bill. And these were FATHER FIGURES to Bill!!! (Wonder how his ENEMIES feel about him???)
Pai Mei taught her long before Beatrix Kiddo left Bill and he "overreacted" - he taught her because she became his favorite student of all time. It had nothing to do with her later wanting to kill Bill.
@@ernesthakey3396 Did you forget that Pai Mei beat the hell out of Bill when they "negotiated" her "education"? Pai Mei didn't think very much of him, obviously.
@@garytiptin6479 what in my response gave you the idea that I forgot Pai Mei slapped Bill around a bit? And Pai Mei slaps everybody around at some point or other. 😉 Admittedly I used "he" to refer to both Bill (he "overreacted") and Pai Mei (he taught her), I could have constructed it better to avoid pronoun confusion. I didn't claim Pai Mei hated Bill, nor did I claim he didn't hate Bill. If you had asked, I would have said Pai Mei was perhaps disappointed in Bill. The fact is, Pai Mei taught Kiddo during that training period. At that time, she had no desire to kill Bill - she loved him. She was his favorites, and she got pregnant by him. That is earlier in the time line. She didn't even want to kill him when she ran away, found a dude, and was planning to get married and live as a civilian. She only wanted to kill him after she woke up from her coma. She already knew the technique Pai Mei taught her - she just hadn't told Bill about that. Out of the coma, she went to Okinawa, got the sword, then went after O-ren, killed her, sent Sophie to Bill as a message, then flew back to the States, and while flying, made her list and scratched out O-ren. Next stop, Vernita Green. Pai Mei broke his rule because Kiddo, during that training period, was the only student he'd had that he considered worthy of learning it - more worthy than Bill, certainly. At that time Kiddo still liked Bill, so her attitude to Bill had absolutely nothing at all with why he taught her. Later - some time between Kiddo's training period and her waking up in a coma - Pai Mei took Elle as a student, Elle disrespected Pai Mei, Pai Mei snatched out Elle's eye, and Elle poisoned his fish heads, killing him. He was dead by the time she woke up and decided she was going to kill Bill and the others. But he took Elle as a student after Kiddo, so apparently he didn't hate Bill enough to not accept at least one more of Bill's proteges...
I think the flute Bill plays is a dizi, a traditional Chinese bamboo flute. It's actually the exact same flute he played as Kwai Chang Caine in the 70's series "Kung Fu" where he was a Shaolin monk traveling the American wild west.
Ah man I hit this so fast. Your personality goes a long way in general. But you're also cool enough for dark comedy. Really hope you're intending to add more content regularly. And curious to see what. 🥂
Love that 70s grindhouse style/feel he of his films and the cars r fabulous. I love his film "Death Proof", the cars r amazing, stiry amazing, stunts amazing, etc. Some might think Bills biggest mistake was sending Beatrix to the master. Really Bills mistake was messing with a mommas baby, its the biggest mistake u could ever make. All beacause she didnt want to raise her child around Bill and the Assassin life. Thanx so much, take care, Peace.
Wait till you get to Inglourious bastards that has if fantastic bad guy You should check out the Fargo series if you haven’t, the story structure is amazing. Season one has one of the best “bad guy” in movie/tv. It’s an anthology of the film Fargo which is great but you don’t need to see before watching the series. The creator made one of my other favorite series “LEGION” it’s based on a few X-men characters but is like nothing out there Cheers
David Carradine starred in a 1970's TV show called Kung Fu in which the character travels the west fanquishing evil-doers and playing a flute. IMO Kill Bill plays against that type really well. Similar to how Pulp Fiction played with John Travolta's character in Saturday Night Fever in which he played a talented dancer. The twist dance contest in the diner is even funnier, to me, for that.
That’s fact the way she killed him. Also I did a wing chun move to the heart to someone almost died 😂❤ Pai mai is a real character from 70’s Chinese movie. Yeah china and South Korea and Philippines got colonized by Japanese and back in the days lot of Japanese were racist some still are. Bill, David Carradine died in Thailand he was found in his hotel room hanging from auto erotic asphyxiation the act of sexual arousal while getting choked there was a mystery whether he was alone be at the time. His Brother Keith Carradine was in the show Dexter he plays the FBI agent in charge of the ice truck murders. He’s done a lot of work in Hollywood.
beatrix deserves to and has earned those wins. but elle is a really cool character and i could see a series following her character in a different setting or time.
Fox Force Five tv show from Pulp Fiction basically made into movies except no corny jokes by the bride. Gotta ❤ Tarantino and the way he connects his movies between the real world and not. As u didnt know thought u might like to know that Estaban the pimp who leads her to bill is actually played by the man who played the cop she spat on in the first movie. There was another actor for the role but the actor who played the cop did it better and is really unrecognisable in the role of Estaban and when Tarantino likes something he does it.
I think you should watch pulp fiction. It was different but really well thought out. If you liked the kill bill movies I'm sure you would really like pulp fiction.
Let’s be real ( me personally) if someone unlikes my AND WITH A BULLET IN THE HEAD, then I survive THEN I FIND OUT GHEY UN ALIVED MY CHILD TOO, there’s no question about it they’re going to end up like bill one way or another
Yep, though it turns out he didn't unalive the child - in fact he raised her and did not even turn her against her mother, unlike many folks that go through bad breakups. Still deserved his fate, but...
It's hard to watch something with the constant pressure that you also have to provide commentary the whole way through though. It's just a lot easier to accidentally misunderstand or fail to notice something because you have so much more to focus on when the main purpose is to create content rather than just "watching a movie" silently by yourself.
I enjoy reading the comments as much as watching the reaction. Another parallel I've noticed between the two films: right before the fight with O-Rin, she comments to Beatrix about the scenery. Right before Bill dies, he's walking in/toward beautiful scenery.
I suggest you try recording a reaction video while keeping in mind you need to be talking and providing commentary the whole way through, and see how easy it is to completely avoid voicing any questions along the way :)
Loved the reactions and I’m subscribed. Please do yourself (and us!) a favor and react to any other Tarantino films you haven’t already seen! Can’t wait for more
They’re more compliments if anything. Also just some action movies that have left really good impressions on me. Kill Bill’s added to that list now too
Reactors are going to react the way they react. Instead of telling people how to react, how about you just find reactors who react in a way that you like? Personally I enjoy the references, they provide more context to the reactor's thoughts. Reactors who just "enjoy the movie" are less interesting to me, I am watching their reaction to actually see their reactions, not just sit beside them to watch (parts of) the movie in silence with them - I can already do that with friends and family and rewatch the whole movie...
What the heck is it with all these types of complaints on just about every reaction video, "say this less", "say this more", "don't say these things", "don't ask questions"?? How arrogant do you have to be to think he should change his entire personality and style of commenting to fit YOUR personal preferences? He is who he is and talks and thinks the way he does, just don't watch his videos if his style doesn't suit you?

He literally spells out Bill’s name after the vermin bit
I thought oren-shi was the student so it was more so bill’s influence on her that the swordsmith didn’t like so he wrote Bills name
She is HER. She cam WAY before John Wick!💃🏾
42:19 The way I see it: even if Bill could stay put and not lose his heart or life, Kiddo would be able to easily kill him anyway. They both know it, so she lets him die his own way by walking it out.
Nice, another jeffk with a bunch of numbers. 'sup
Good call.
Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (Swedish version) is a satisfying revenge film
IMO, Reservoir Dogs was grittier, less polished (also less confusing) than Pulp Fiction, and still had great music
I recently learned the pai Mei actor is also the bald guy serving her saki at the hatori hanzo restaurant
The reason why the depiction on Pai Mei is so stereotypical is because most times the characters that look like him are actually him. Pai Mei is said to be very old. He pops up all over martial arts stuff.🙂
There is NO comparison.. from Clooney.. and David.. NOT EVER CLOSE... R.I.P. David Carradine
Never caught it till a poster on another KB reaction mentioned it - Bill was training her daughter BiBi to be an assassin as well. Yet another reason he had to die.
Crazy especially since that’s the exact opposite of what Beatrix wanted and why she fled in the first place
yea but thats good that she can defend herself or others. im sure if there were ever a sequel it would be Beatrix having to make amends with many things while also having to train Bibi everything, to pass on Pai Meis training, maybe she becomes a master trainer someday on her own mountain top haha
Jet Li films? Noted. Thank you
@@Kay-Pee You're very welcome. And now you've got me excited. Dude, Jet Li is freaking badass. And a few of his are truly beautiful movies.
Huh huh now I subbed. :))
@@Eowyn187 excellent recommendation, I second this!
I recently stumbled across your channel and I’m really enjoying your movie reactions. You’re always thinking and trying to pull it all together while being (unintentionally) sarcastic and funny. 😂😂
MORE SARCASTIC THAN FUNNY, THAT'S FOR SURE!!! LIKE AHM, 90-10!!!
Now I'm never gonna be able to watch this movie without thinking of Bill's lunatic sandwich. 😂
The cursed sandwich 😂
"I DID NOT SEE THAT COMIN" OH F*CK OFF!!! 😂😂😂😂😂
"I'm confused, are we crying or are we laughing?"
yes.

If you remember Kill Bill vol 1's animation, the man dressed in white who kill's O'Ren Ishii's father and sets the room on fire is Bill.
You upset over the sandwich cut is hilarious! And valid! That is a fed up cut, he is truly a villain!
I kind of want a Pei Mei movie lol or a tv show of him and hanzo just training people and sending them out into the world
@@aurorauplinks There actually is Pei Mei and Hattori Hanzo movie lol.
Oh that is super awesome! i have to watch it , i guess @@TheMixedPlateFrequency
Yeah to be part of humanity but made Clark look like a bumbling nerd, acting weak. He could have easily pretended to be an athletic jock.
I think Bill is right with his stance on Superman.
He buried her alive because he wanted her to suffer
and also Elle said She Must Suffer To Her Last Breath. He (this reactor) does more talking and less thinking.
ok but heres the question.
Bill is played by David Carradine. The flute is a reference to the 1970s series Kung Fu, in which he starred.
I'm sure Bibi didn't. Also, he explained why he gave his location, how do you think Bill and their Daughter were so ready when she came in?
Bro, your edits are nuts. I love it.😂😂😂
Incident with Air Fryer.
is everyone ok? Is the building still standing and livable inside? .... what happened to the air!?
I loved both your reactions to my favourite films.
Subbed.
Ah man I hit this so fast. Your personality goes a long way in general. But you're also cool enough for dark comedy. Really hope you're intending to add more content regularly. And curious to see what. 🥂
4:46 David Carradine was famous in the 70s for playing the title character in the popular tv show, Kung Fu
really like the edits, the hamster killed me
He used to play that flute back in the Kung Fu tv series.
🖤🖤🖤
Look up the show called Kung-Fu, that's is him, Mr. Bill.
Wait till you get to Inglourious bastards that has if fantastic bad guy
You should check out the Fargo series if you haven’t, the story structure is amazing. Season one has one of the best “bad guy” in movie/tv. It’s an anthology of the film Fargo which is great but you don’t need to see before watching the series. The creator made one of my other favorite series “LEGION” it’s based on a few X-men characters but is like nothing out there
Cheers
THE (UNNECESSARY) SARCASM IS OVERFLOWING ON THIS SHIT!!!
Heh ;) You got the like at the hamster.
The urban dictionary edits for the hip young lingo 😂😂
Watch True Romance. It was written by Tarantino. It's a classic.
Noted. Thanks
That little girl is in Once upon a time in Hollywood !
The cat's meow, thats my technique 😅😂
That’s fact the way she killed him. Also I did a wing chun move to the heart to someone almost died 😂❤ Pai mai is a real character from 70’s Chinese movie. Yeah china and South Korea and Philippines got colonized by Japanese and back in the days lot of Japanese were racist some still are. And Uma is bouddhist a father was and also a teacher so that’s why she got that name also the stunt girl that does her scene are Zoe belle she is death proof Tarantino movie. Greetings from France also in martial arts you have to break your bones not to be hurt when you hit I did break my knuckles 😂 I am fine
Elle was my favorite. Every time the end of the fight scene comes on my screen part of me hopes Elle ends up winning.
nah bruh
beatrix deserves to and has earned those wins. but elle is a really cool character and i could see a series following her character in a different setting or time.
The way bill cuts sandwiches for bb is the biggest red flag. Unfit to be a father. KILL. 😂
🔥
Let’s be real ( me personally) if someone unlikes my AND WITH A BULLET IN THE HEAD, then I survive THEN I FIND OUT GHEY UN ALIVED MY CHILD TOO, there’s no question about it they’re going to end up like bill one way or another
Yep, though it turns out he didn't unalive the child - in fact he raised her and did not even turn her against her mother, unlike many folks that go through bad breakups. Still deserved his fate, but...
If you want to see an incredible action movie with Kung-fu, I highly recommend crouching tiger, hidden dragon. I promise you will not be disappointed.
oh wow.. dude's nouth really runnin 5x faster than his brain in this 😅
askin the wrong questionz wit all the expo happening onscreen LOOOOL
It's hard to watch something with the constant pressure that you also have to provide commentary the whole way through though. It's just a lot easier to accidentally misunderstand or fail to notice something because you have so much more to focus on when the main purpose is to create content rather than just "watching a movie" silently by yourself.
I enjoy reading the comments as much as watching the reaction. Another parallel I've noticed between the two films: right before the fight with O-Rin, she comments to Beatrix about the scenery. Right before Bill dies, he's walking in/toward beautiful scenery.
28:52 - HAHAHAHAHA!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Oh my God your reaction was priceless!!! Great reaction to one of my all time favorite films.
Somebody introduce this dude to Hong Kong cinema
lmao i can't stand those ppl who ask questions the whole movie 😂
I suggest you try recording a reaction video while keeping in mind you need to be talking and providing commentary the whole way through, and see how easy it is to completely avoid voicing any questions along the way :)
Bill was a bad boyfriend but he was a good father
I believe that car L is driving is a T Bird
If you want a really good laugh, react to Get Hard starring Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart. It's funny as hell.😂
Now i think abt maybe bill could survive that but he will be in the wheelchair for the rest of his life. One of the loop hole i could think of.
Loved the reactions and I’m subscribed. Please do yourself (and us!) a favor and react to any other Tarantino films you haven’t already seen! Can’t wait for more
Best sandwich cut fool
Watch old Bruce Lee films and Kung Fu movies from China. You’ll get the fighting and music. Enter the Dragon is insane.
Unknown probably false facts:
Air fryers start 8 kitchen fires a day in America.
U aint seen vol.1??
You should check out Kung Fu Hustle 2004
Worst Pausing of Vol.2 History at the end bro!
Why you keep comparing other movies to what you're watching? Matrix vibes and john wick vibes? Just enjoy the movie
This generation is stuck on anime and video games??? WTF!!
This came out before Avatar to be fair.
