Lynn and Zaid are individually incredible musicians. Together they reimagine and reinvent wonderful music from the Levantine ancient Sham region. Thx for bringing them on Kexp, ❤❤❤
This is INSANE. at first I was like oh cool burger 🍔 then I was 🚀 blasted out my seat by the 808s. The guitar tone reminds me of In Rainbows era of Radiohead and the simple drum machine. This is incredible. Unbelievable.
At 6:30 I was blown away. The guitar work and 808 got my full attention and this music is proof that one does not need to speak a language to embrace a sound...Nomad was my proof. Thankyou!
THIS IS BIG! i was not prepared for this, I was browsing bored through a couple of KEXP performances, then this hit me. WOW. I am at 6:30 I need a break to digest!
I really like Beduin Burger music and I've been following their work from the start. First Lynn solo and of course Soap kills with Yasmin Hamdan and then this new duo. I am amused to hear their new songs and their compositions of old folklore arabic and beduin tunes/songs. Though I am upset by the way they spoke in the interview at the end of Lebanon and Syria. You started by saying that we need to build bridges and then talked mainly negative about your home countries. It truly saddens me. Every country has its own problems and issues. I live in Norway and before that in Sweden and I assure you that there're many big issues. However people won't go around talking about them especially when hosted by the other if i may use this term. The US is the other side, as in it's the one who invaded and plundered, who stole and manipulated. It's super strange that whenever an Arab is hosted abroad to represent our culture and arts, they end up talking down about their countries. I wish we learn to truly appreciate our culture and arts without trying always to politicize and kick down. Love you Bedouin Burger. Hope you'd read this comment 🙂
Strange Google algorithms, to just push this to me today, AND to link it to an elite lifestyle ad for a Zionist blood diamonds merchant. I know almost no Arabic, but appreciate this unfamiliar style knowing Arabic is a tonal language, unlike English. If I were producing this, I'd suggest reviewing the bass lines of the first and last tracks. Listening on a decent stereo system with a good sub, neither boosted up or down in levels, they did more to rattle wall decorations than give me a bone vibrations response to the music. I'd have been curious if the interview asked about exposures to Western corporate media, and was perhaps a word play on Bob's Burgers by intent?

So happy for it to be online again. 🎉💗💗Thought would never hear those beautiful melodies again.
ce live et ce groupe devraient être connus à la hauteur de leur talent. C'est du super boulot que vous faites.
I was lucky to listen to this great band in Berlin. Ya man Hawa and Nomad songs helped a lot in my dark and sensitive hours. Love you guys ❤
