it's been three whole days after the finale and my girl Villanelle is still not resurrected so I guess I will have to resurrect her myself 😔✌️

ideal ending in my eyes would be that V got shot just the once, they fell into the water and washed up on some shore, it was a struggle and V was ill with sustained injuries but Eve looks after her. Carolyn has a flashy job at the MI6 saying she killed all of 12, but has to pay Eve and Villanelle off to stay quiet. They move to Alaska as V was always obssessed with the snow globe and going there in the first seasons (idk why they dropped this whole quirk??) and they do odd murder jobs together, but Villanelle is a lot more careful now after having her shoulder busted real bad. Happy ending Done!
Like all that except odd murder jobs. Why would anyone want that? Yes they both have darkness and have killed, but I think if they were together and it wasn’t Villanelle’s job or for revenge, I think they would both want to stop.

Even Phoebe said that the whole point was for Villanelle and Eve to end up together. She quotes this during season 1. I think V faked her death and they hide together, living a normal life. Which is what V said she wanted in S2.
So where was PWB at the end? No one told Laura...Know your audience?

I have blotted out S4. The ending is in book 3 of Luke Jennings’ trilogy and it is spectacular. Without spoiling it for those who have not read it, Villanelle does something to make the world a far better place, and Eve and Villanelle have a very happy ending.
I loved this. It still hurts, but I always wanted them to say, "I love you." I am still obsessed with everything.

Nothing will change how Laura Neal destroyed the season and more importantly the dreadful ending. I’ll never watch another thing by the writers of season 4.

I view this story like clay. You can form very different things with it. Luke Jennings started it and his story-sculpture is entirely different from the show. PWB let others sculpt the story, so why shouldn't we? I get your bitterness, as I am also incredibly bitter, but let's not give away our power over the story. Your own way of viewing the story and how it actually unfolded to you is just as canon as anything. Laura Neal is just yet another creator who sculpted the story as she pleased (and as she pleased wrong nonetheless lmao). So yeah, everything that you decide for them is just as true as anything in your books :)
@@sorcellerie It’s just another dead “lesbian” as we’ve seen over and over again… how original. With all the time she and the other writers had one might imagine something with substance, but nothing. It felt completely rushed and loaded unnecessary, meaningless rubbish. On the bright side the actors were brilliant. Unfortunately the Showrunner lacked the ability and knowledge needed to close out a series such as Killing Eve.
PWB should have written the finale, she started it she should have finished it. Just my humble opinion.

@@NYSESTRA yes, I'm not denying that. I hate Neal's take on the ending. That said, I just refuse to let her ruin this story for me. So I choose my own ending. A pity she really misunderstood Villaneve so badly

it only makes sense tbh bc there's just too many open questions, too much left us wondering. And i don't get what kept them from at least leaving an open ending, like at least something to interpretation. They could have literally even kept most of it in, shots being fired at v & eve and them jumping of the ship and then it could have ended with that stupidass reveal that carolyn was behind it and us not knowing if they'll survive. What was the point of making us suffer thru seeing v being brutally shot multiple times in front of eve and that scream that's gonna haunt me forever. There's no room for our imagination. Sorry this is all over the place, it's 4 am and i'm emotional

I like the idea of this video. I personally never got to wrap my mind around the idea of them being conventionally happy or ending up with a happy ending on a cabin, at least not with the tone of the first two seasons. But S3 finale made me consider their relationship in a more tender way; I still didn't like the idea of them being like a regular couple doing dangerous stuff now and then, but them being together doing awful things while enjoying each other's company and maybe doing laundry on the weekends. The writers never explored this. So something that really got me on my nerves was them being robbed from this, from being together doing something that would made them realize how well they work together and how they understand each other's unhinged traits, not just doing normal stuff (which was important as well) bc it felt like a consolation gift to Villanelle's fate. What I'm saying is that an open finale would've been a lot better, like they just telling you something like "yes, they find each other again. Yes, they still think of each other. Yes, they can be together a little bit more.", I like the idea of Eve just finding out about Villanelle being alive so casually in a chaotic scenario, on a mission, or a letter, maybe something made up by Villanelle herself. They didn't have to end up together but at least they deserved to be together throughout the season more than three minutes without acknowledging their past relationship...idk man they gave us the absolute nothing on the last season

Showing utter contempt for your viewers is never a good idea. Like Lost and Game of Thrones this show will be remembered most for the terrible ending, but as many have said the book does not end this way. So the source material is the better authority, and a more natural trajectory that doesn't betray the audience.
I just don't understand the anger at the conclusion.It seems to me that by your want for a happy ending you all would change: Mr. Roberts doesn't get killed, Paige stays with Phillip and Elizabeth, Michael doesn't off Fredo, llsa stays with Rick, Kong goes to a zoo, Old Yeller avoids rabies Henry Bkake makes it home safely, Bambi's mom isn't lost in the forest fire. I could go on and on about ending's. But in this case it makes sense, Carolyn Martens win's plain and simple.Deal with it....Aloha

Those aren't really comparable. This would be more like Romeo and Juliet both dying at the end if you took 80 hours to build up their romance before killing them off.
