laura neal never becomes head writer. the events of season 4 don't come to pass. all is right.

Love this. Although the first half of the episode was perfect, I wish we got to have them together before the last episode. To experience more happy memories. After 4 years it came down to one small episode of them being together. Which was so sad.

I Actually get in high level of my anxiety as well with that ending. I'd never been that way before. I just saw water and start to cry like hell, saw holding hands and the same thing happened, even thinking about Villanelle story, her face or their happy scenes made me just start crying so hard. I'm being better now, I still dont know what heppened to me but seeing Villanelle sadness for 4 years till she get her happy for the first time just for being killed in the arms of who gave her that feeling... I couldn't with that. And get killed by the woman she had to kill and choose not to. Even helped her and have nice moments together. It was terrible. I still can't watch the finale again.
Good news is the books that the show was based off does have a really happy ending :)

Why Laura Neal didn't go with the actual ending of the novels, I would love to know why. Because Villanelle fakes her death at the end and they stay together after that. So I don't get what she was thinking by taking that ending away from us.
I love the fact that it was Villanelle who stopped first and looked so scared to look back (because maybe when she does, Eve is already so far away and never looked back). But when she actually did look back, she look so smug feigning the nervousness to look tough and was utterly surprised when she saw Eve was already looking at her

Then that ending... I'm grieving.
they said they were finishing the show while it was on a hi. and yet they just threw it away, so much could have been done this final season which would have elevated this show even more. instead they spent the full season on the 12 and finding out who they are and killing them, when all we wanted is happy endings. Heres hoping in a few years the show comes back and we find out it was all just a show so the 12 believed V was dead, but really V ans E have been living a wonderful life away from danger, cause in my mind this is what has happened. and then the new show will be V and E on other cases. it so upsetting that writers never learn and to kill a so love character off is never a good thing. so many hearts are broken once again years later after the Clexa crap.

Unfortunately, I don't think Sandra Oh or Jodie Comer will ever come back and do another show. Except for the ending, they accomplished what they wanted and now they both have many more projects to do.
Season 4 could have started with that last episode, been only the road trip & kiss, and ended before those last two fatal minutes, and it would have been great. Thanks for the vid, it felt good to watch it

This is so much better- just focusing on V&E rather than the messy way they tried to tie up all the stories. Much more open to the viewers imagining what happens in the future...

It's the first time I see a series where everything is perfect. Actors, script, work of artists, directors, cameramen. Season 4 was ruined, but in general, I have already reviewed several times. And every time I laugh and cry with Villanelle. Perhaps there is a part of Vi in all of us, in that from time to time we feel lonely and are always looking for love. And a part of Eve, too, that we often hide from ourselves. I am glad that it was in Europe that such a show was filmed, to which you stick with your heart and sincerely worry about the characters. I think that this show will be in the first place for a long time in my heart, which suffered because of the ending.

for a second i had this theory that maybe Pam was going to help V and E fake their own death so that they could run off and live happily ever after. i really thought something like that would happen since in the books they do end up happy.
In my opinion in the episode on the bridge, Eve admitted to herself that she loves Villanelle.
This is the only endind I'm willing to accept. Fuck whatever the producers made, this is the new cannon.
I was spoiled on the ending before I started watching S4 and I am glad I didn't go through it all and have to watch that bad ending. I will take this one. This is my headcanon forever. Thanks for the video!

I loved your Make It Stop edit. It spoke to the struggles EandV went through from seasons 1-3. Coming to see for E what she intuitively sees in V but still was disturbed by how internally she was afraid and the distance that created, visually illustrated by where they end on the bridge. And for V, the struggle to be whole, to hope there is truly more than death and pain within her (and there is). The journey in the fourth season continues to bridge that gap, to work through what EandV needs respectively to experience so they can find their unique union. It hurts that V died. I didn’t want that at all. And how V came to love fully is in-between your edits. I hope you find it. V deserves to live on in E and she can’t if we can’t bring ourselves to risk to love fully, to give our lives to feeling through the anguish for it. A part of me wishes Killing Eve was just a romantic dramedy. That way I could argue how V’s death doesn’t work for that kind of story and we get to have a queer couple intact. That’s my fantasy. The truth is more complex and harder to reach for. You know, the end is E screaming and under the surface she couldn’t use her arms to swim to V or her hand to reach her love… and, you recall the way E is introduced to us? Screaming awake from a dream. Why was she screaming? Her arms were numb, useless. Please reach a little farther because your edits have reached me so. This edit, however, is more about needing to protect than to reveal. I get that. It’s part of the journey. It’s just not the end.

I completely understand what you mean, I've made those connections myself but I am really struggling with accepting this ending and don't know if I will ever be able to incorporate it in any edit. I don't believe the ending fits the characters, I think it was purely for shock value and what they believed would be an "epic conclusion". I don't believe Eve would dance away while V supposedly kills the entirety of the twelve, I don't believe V would be so careless as to stay on the boat out in the open after doing what she did, and I think the writers leaving Eve in complete anguish after finally accepting who she is and who she wants to be with is a betrayal to the her journey and to the theme of the show as a whole. I find the ending quite traumatic to watch, really. I'm stuck between wanting to untangle it via editing and wanting to ignore it completely. I almost feel as if doing the work of processing and untangling this ending would just be me trying to infer some meaning that isn't there. I don't know, I just know I need a little time away from the last episode before thinking about it properly. Again, thank you for the insightful comment! I really appreciate it.

yes THIS is the end and the truthful end! don’t get lost in the ending that was actually shown cause it follows the same thing in SO many other endings of women in their power and ‘hmmm let’s take it from them cause we can’t have that and give LOVE hope. We are ALL gooooddd, both sides male and female..it is the dark interference, ignore it…MANY other alternate happy endings were made by powerful women so THANK YOU for another one. Let’s not focus on assumption that men did this terrible ending to take away from women. It was DARK shadowing the light and you portrayed THESE 2 driving off into the sunset TOGETHER…❤️❤️ in the end LIGHT AND LOVE always win cause it is SO MUCH MORE POWERFUL 🌞
