    Sam story here about a person came up to him for healing he asked God to give him faith to pray for healing and when he pray for the person they’re migraine went away. He completes his story here with a hypothetical if another person came up to me and said hey God just feel that person pray for me. It might not happen. I wanna make is that it’s a hypothetical if it happen. If I was in that situation and a second person come up I would do exactly the same thing I did for the first person. As much as he knows and preaches about to give still got a few things a little off here. we need to know God is directing you to pray for healing. We need to know whenever situation comes up. What does God want to do we need to ask. And have faith that whatever answer we’re getting we believe it and obediently follow it. If you get nothing then be obedient and do nothing. Except explain to the person I’m not really getting anything I don’t know why but I pray that God will give you some answers as you pray and seek him.

    The gifts/fruits of the Holy Spirit are listed right in Galatians 5: 22-23
    22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
    23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

    My understanding is that you are a theologian. It is disturbing to me that you would add and or assume what is not written in the Word. Basically you are making up what you think Paul is meaning in the text. We are warned not to exceed what is written, which is what you are doing. As an example you state that Peter told them they were dead for lying to the Holy Spirit- false. All Peter did was ask why they did what they did and then they fell down dead. He didn't declare them dead or say they were going to die- they simply fell over dead. When you start adding to the scripture you are making the Holy Spirit a liar and you become a false teacher. I've seen you do this type of thing on Remnant Radio and you were never called out on it. Stop making things up that don't exist and you need to repent for lying- especially at the pulpit.

    Concerning the thorn of Paul, if you are corect with the context, you have no posibility to say that his thorn was a sickness. He says: ,,there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me". Is God coworker with demons? Is God sending demons to torment us? Did Jesus ever sent a demon to somebody? Acts 10:38 tell us: "even Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him." We see here God and Jesus working together to heal people and distroy the works of the devil. How is that, in your intrepretation, God is aligned with Satan here tormenting Paul? That messanger of the devil was sent by the devil himself as a result a the great revelations Paul had. The Bible tells us, and the devil knows it, that the more you know Christ and his Word, the more dangereus you become for the kingdom of darkness. For this reason Paul explains before this passage about his persecution. He prayed that this persecution would be stop but God's unswer was: No, but I already gave you power instead." In Acts ch 4 we have the same situation but the church is not praying against persecution (just mentioned it) but praying for power to be victorious in persecution.
    For this reason your explanation about the gifts of healing has no suport in the Bible. If God is no 100% for healing we don't have any support for faith in healing. Healing becomes a gambling. If the Bible would say God saves everybody except a few, all our ground for faith in salvation is lost. If the Bible would say that we have victory in all things except a few, again, all our ground for faith in victory is gone.
    Here you used your experience to made theology out of it. Cesationists do the same: They have no support for the cesation of the spiritual gifts so they use their experience: "We haven't experienced it so it shouldn't be true". Also you use few exception that have no explanation to contradict hundreds of pasages that state clearly God is totaly for our healing.

    • @tomtemple69
      @tomtemple69 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      yeah, he went from one experience to another experience
      why does Paul say the signs of a true apostle are signs, wonders and miracles? the apostles were special, no one in history had miracles quite like them because they were chosen by God to authoritatively interpret Scripture and some wrote parts of Scripture too
      if everyone has the same exact gifts of the apostles, what differentiates them from anyone else? the mormons claim they have apostles and prophets will all the same gifts charismatics claim... how are the apostles different from mormonism? how do catholics have the same gifts (tongues, healing, prophecy, they even claim to have apostolic authority by sucession)? that would mean they have the Spirit too, which means they know the gospel...

    I don’t know how Sam can continue to believe that not everyone who gets baptized and holy spirit speaks with tongues. He’s misunderstanding Corinthians chapter 12. Yes it says not all speak with tongues. But it also says not all are prophets. Yeah later Paul says in chapter 14 verse five that he wishes all would speak in tongue that all would prophesy. Is Paul contradicting himself or is Sam misunderstanding what he’s saying here. I believe Sam has some things confused here. There seems to be a distinction between prophets like Agabus who prophesy future events would take place. And prophecy that edifies the church the same with tongues there’s a tongue that everyone receives when they’re baptized in the holy spirit. There is no scripture that says some receive the ability to speak in tongues when they were baptized in the Holy Spirit. Again Sam is confusing the gift of tongues that you receive as a prayer language that the Holy Spirit is praying through you through your spirit as John wrote when Jesus cried aloud in chapter 7 of of John. Jesus cried loud saying anyone who is thirsty come and drink. whoever believes in me and drinks out of his innermost being or out of his belly shall flow rivers of living Waters. Indicating that this was theHoly Spirit that the disciples were later receive. This is tongues I believe. Sam did an excellent job here. But I believe his reform upbringing has some things hanging on him that’s causing him still not fully and completely embrace the moving of the spirit. I experienced I’ve seen some people have moved by the Holy Spirit and praying for healing for people. Myself I seem to have great discernment of spirits when I was just a few weeks old and the Lord I discerned that the house that I was living in no one told me this but that there was spirits connected to all the sinning from the partying we did in that house. As I was cleaning up this house the need to ask the Lord to clean his house. I told him Lord I didn’t want anyone to be affected by all the sin that had taken place in this house. When I prayed this way it was like a light had come on or that I had just received the breath of fresh air. I was later told that this was the casting out of demons from that house. other people moving faith have the faith to believe that God wants to do this or do that. That encourages and leads people into doing new things for the Lord , we called them apostles. I believe the Sam‘s background of always trying to find every experience every situation whatever has to be found in the Bible. Wow we should use the word of God as a guide strange things happen can happen in the Christian experience. Look at Jesus he took mud and spit and mix it together and used it to heal a person’s eyes. A prophet told a man to dip in the river three times before he was healed. A man who was later to be buried in the same tomb of Elijah and return to life. We had an ax head floating. sometimes we see some strange things and if we try to continually say what I can’t happen because we can’t find anything about it in the word of God so we reject it. We must learn to discern in our spirit whether something is of the spirit or not along with the word of God. I’ll go through the word first but then I’ll also ask for confirmation in my spirit. Look at the woman who had a spirit of divination who is praising the apostles telling them that they were speaking the truth about God. And several days later Paul rebuke the spirit out of her. Even though she was speaking he knew something was not quite right in his spirit and to discern that she had a demon and it needed to be cast out of her. Again Sam has done a great job but he has a little bit ways to go

      @BryanCurtisSaved You must be a Calvinist. Calvinism by nature hates the power of God, that is why many of them are cessationists. I notice the catch phrase "God is sovereign" explains away your lack of understanding of the nature of the Father. Jesus said let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. The will of God in heaven is perfect but not on this planet. You cannot use the sovereignty of God to overwrite the Word of the Lord but if you are a Calvinist then there are parts of the Word of God you have to get rid of or twist and distort.

      @@johngraves9237 first, thank you for your comments. It means that to some extent you have a desire for God. Second no I'm not a Calvinist. Are there certain aspects of it that I believe are Biblical yes, just like I also believe that the Gifts of the Holy Spirit are still active today. Jesus was explaining to us HOW WE ARE TO PRAY- asking that HIS WILL (not ours) be done on earth as it is in Heaven. What does that mean? Does that mean that we are to be healed at all times under all circumstances? NO. The Word never says that we can demand God to do anything or even expect that He will. The speaker literally says it is up to GOD's Will!! Did you not listen to the speaker himself?? Your comment saying that I must hate the Power of God is such an incredibly offensive comment. Is not GOD Sovereign? Does He not have the power to do anything He wants or desires? It seems to me that you have an incorrect and heretical view of the God who is above all. I would ask you where you find the Nature of God? I read the entire scripture in context, not just pulling out a scripture here or there where you want to so that it means something it is not. I think that Sam Storms is a nice man, has a desire for God, but I would never take what he says as correct. You can take any scripture out of context and create whatever you want- which he at times does (multiple times in this video example his comments on Prophecy). I have spent more than 30 years in a charismatic church, prayed for the sick, believed for healing every time for them and myself. But my experiences there are not what make up my beliefs- it is the scriptures. Be a Berean, not a follower of a man.

      @BryanCurtisSaved I think you ignored what I said and I am glad you are not a Calvinist but none of it is biblical but I think you have a doctrine that if forcing you to overshadow the Word of God. Can you tell me what the phrase "sovereignty of God" is supposed to mean? Can his sovereignty go against the Word of God?

    The gift of prophecy in the New testament only rarely means foretelling the future. Paul explains it clearly that tongues is uniteligible and prophecy is speaking inteligible words, explaining the Word of God.

    Since not all will get the gift of tongues not all are to speak or pray in tongues as it is not for all. The actual gift of tongues typically will be accompanied by someone with the gift of interpretation. To do otherwise is sin. Not all will prophecy as well. If not obeying is a sin then to say all will do this or that is to teach sin.

    Sam, you're torturing the Scripture. 1 Cor. 12:31: covet earnestly the best gifts (these are described in chapter 13; faith, hope and love) and yet show I unto you a more excellent way; that is introduced in 14:1. The excellent way IS NOT LOVE!!!!! Love is the greatest of the best gifts BUT NOT THE EXCELLENT WAY!!!! The excellent way is "rather that ye may PROPHESY" To prophesy in this context IS NOT A GIFT!!!! But rather a "way" or method. It is reiterating that which has already been revealed by God. Summary: we desire more faith hope and love. But more importantly we prophesy which is to say we give out that which has already been revealed through Scripture. We certainly don't desire to use our imagination to speak whatever come what may to whoever we deem appropriate.
