    Isn't it up to the owner to ensure he's cleaned regularly?

    • @shannonflaherty353
      @shannonflaherty353 3 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      It is but that why the owner can hire a professional if they don't feel comfortable doing it. Also as she stated in the video she cleaned sunny a year ago. Most horses should have a thorough sheath cleaning every 6-12 months. So as the owner having him cleaned again in a year is right.

    • @SoundScientist1

      @Braxton. Some gelding owners get their animals cleaned much more frequently than once - twice per year (contrary to your explanation).

    It must not be stopping them up much. I bought an old gelding once who had never been cleaned. His bean was very large. But he always peed fine, good flow. Wild horses certainly are never cleaned. They don’t have common urinary problems. They aren’t bedded on shavings though…

      They normally don’t form in the wild because there aren’t geldings in the wild. Stallions don’t generally form beans- the smegma that would get stuck up in there is removed during mating.
