That is pretty hot. You won't have to drag the control pendant with the fussy bungee cord in and out of the machine cell getting all tangled, snagged, and in the way of other personnel in the work area. Seems it could be easier to program once you learn the syntax. Flippin Amazing!
@toomipalon I agree. The pendant makes much more sense! The robot I'm designing will be programed by simply jogging the drives to position, mark/capture position, and setting waits and sequence. This programming thing has become very fast and reliable with force control. But the pendant still has it's place.
I two robotics modules in MEng Mechanical Engineering. The modules were open to most types of engineering disciplines (perhaps not civil). Computer science and related courses are also relevant, as well as software and programming courses.
Guys, I think here no one knows what about force control. Originally it's not about the manual position storing make by hand, but about the force detection. For e.g., if you want to trimming a part with a good cycle time, your robot can moves around the part fast, but can be slow where is a surplus. So, it can detect where is a surplus with an external forces. And, a robot can intelligent re-plan it's path, until the force drop onto a programmed (stored) value. It's a very good develop from ABB
Like the demonstration - thank you. I was a bit disappointed that what was described as "Programming industrial robots with voice and without writing a single line of code" was really just coding brought to a higher level of input allowing the computer to pull the input and expand it out properly... then I noticed the date (5 years back!) Do you have anything more recent, perhaps showing how this has come along with time?
Voice recognition is in its early stage, like dos was back in the day, there was a time when people laughed of the idea of making a virtual world when all computers could do was write text, yet here we are. much in the same way this will involve into full functional communication one day.
THIS IS TEACH AND LEARN THEHNIQUE TO PROGRAM A ROBOT, BUT YOU NEED A TEACHPENDANT WITH JOYSTICK IS MOST FAST, IN OPEN SPACE ROBOTS DON HAVE REFERENCE POINTS , NO CALIBRATION, NO SAME LEVEL WITH PIECE TO WORK, SO THIS IS THE ANSWER
Quite interesting but voice control programming was first demonstrated at the Robot Exhibition in Brighton in about 1982 by Unimation Robotics, thinking about it has not really come that far. Also what the hell is "servo float" "complex digital structure"- a little learning is a dangerous thing - stick to what you know my friend otherwise you make a fool of yourself.

cool
Why is programming by demonstration better than program by numbers?

Yeah, so sexy! :-)
Nicely done.
lol... a robotic female voice saying 'master' it's always the prize for the hard work of a NERD...
The voice interface is sort of ridiculous.
the most important is when robot says Master , je cool
because engineers can do whatever the fak we want to jajajaja!!!

Wow. Programming by demonstration. Amazing technology and saves so much programming time.

With voice it's so nice... Voice recognition it's hard to do, but he seems to do so easy!

Very Amazing I want to ask you the guy in video is you? if yes can i contact you.
NICE VIDEO .I WANT TO KNOW WHICH DEVICE AND SOFTWARE ARE YOU USING TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE ROBOT?
proprietary bitch
i didn't mean that offensively it just sounded funny when i said it out-loud
Norberto, qual o software para comando de voz que você utilizou para este projeto com robô da ABB?
what do robotics engineer/technician study before they become one?

awesome way to programming. good work.
What is it necesary to move the robot like the video? Like ingravid robot?
Simple and yet so innovative. One internets for you :D
Can you provide a link for the software?

This feature may need ALOT of refinment but i think its a future way
great work man!
@EEPBppt
what about a car painting robot!! O_O-
Hanzhen harmonic drive gear ,
strain wave gear , robot joint ,
over 30 years experience
al that work for not a lot?
Cool project!
wow amazing work...
Shall we Play a Game??
that's programming lika a Boss
when you say ''computer instruction move line'', here I correct you its move linear instruction not ("move line").
I'm sorry Dave I'm afraid i can't do that, Just what do you think you're doing, Dave? Stop Dave, I'm Afraid.
that is very cool,man.......
Voice recognition is stupid idea, but teaching points with hands is realy good idea, but not so new. Polish PIAP Institute makes it since dinosaurs.
impressive!
Thats alot of time to teach each step . you can do it alot faster with a teach pendent
this is just awesome :)
thank u sir ...great video
you are the master
It takes too long to program it this way.
pretty nice!!!
Voicecontrol? Hmmmm, maybe I should try that with my setup... :)
a tip : watch series at Flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching lots of of movies recently.
@Harlan Christian Yup, I have been using flixzone for months myself =)
computer interaction move line.... omg !!
Seems like more work than to just press buttons. "Node Up Node Up Node Up Node UP....or click.
Interesting
sunds like sado/maso xD
I can teach a Fanuc program in half the time, and I don't have to say a word. This is ridiculous.
@CyberDragon777 LOOOOOL

David Richards
lol @ IRobot music
Funny but not work in a factory.
I program faster with my fingers.
Robot, shutdown....
wasteof time...use the control t-pad , folow page up /page down , deactivate sound , use with analogik controler
abb is not robot ,abb is mechanical shit
master... noob programmer.
