Don't monetize your passions
so fucking true.. met many career counselors who spewed bullshit on making passion your career- and many motivational speakers do the same- i got to know this .. finally somebody who resonates completely to what i thought- u earned a new subsciiber!
Yes, I tried everything and came to the conclusion that you don't need to earn money from your passion to sustain it, it has always had negative effect on me aka burnout

The problem is when passion is made as a main source of income then it becomes an issue because it's needed regularly and you can't survive without it. But, imagine this now :
You have a main source of income and then on side you also have a monetized passion working for you which is not essentially your main source of income and so it's fine sometimes you earn out of it and sometimes you won't but it won't get you stressed you see ?
Now, here's the catch ! You don't want money to become the very driving force which drives your you towards your passion or which fuels your passion because that's when money will become the deciding factor for how well you are pursuing your passion and passion isn't about pursuit but about the joy you get out of the whole process of just doing what you're passionate about.
What if my 9-5/7 job takes all my time and energy and then I don't have any time nor energy to work on my passion? Also, the job is for survival only as I have no likeability towards it. And, ensuring my survival and putting food on the table takes up my entire life, which causes depressed, and most of the time suicidal thoughts.
Thats the paradox of passion until you succeed. But if you are only occupied with your 9 to 9 job, it gets extremely hard to pursue anything. Thus, we need to take rational decisions focusing on our current situations. Ofcourse, it gets depressing after a while but you need to make sacrifices to achieve anything. To achieve financial stability, you need to deprioritise your passion and for pursuing your passion, you need to sacrifice financial freedom for an indefinite time. Each has its own risk and reward.
@@EkPanchhii Exactly. Everything in life is a gamble. It like the half full half empty glass of water analogy but in a much twisted way. Balance is not always guaranteed or even possible, but to play on one side while the other side is more off balanced, just like you said. This is what i call the greatest dilemma of life. After all, we all are puppets in this sysiphisian world rolling up our own boulder, only for it to fall back again.

@@EkPanchhiiprobably not a bad idea to make that video go private. I watched it a couple years ago when it was available, and I know you were in a tough spot back then. I'm proud of you, and I'm proud of the hard work you're putting into rebranding your channel with an even more positive message. Hoping you get tons of subscribers and your channel continues to grow. Maybe, someday, you can make that video public again as a way to show people how far you've come - but that is something only you can decide.
That's the plan. Once I escape the corporate life, I will make it go public. :)
I have my passion of drawing, and only that gives me a will to live in my dark life. On the other side for the survival, this 9-5/7 will kill me or I will most likely kill myself while doing their "jobs". I really don't know what to do at this point. I want to live because i want to draw, but living requires money. This money, you get through a job and i hate doing job. So at this point, I'm in a deep dilemma of whether I should just off myself, as I don't have a means of survival or just follow my passion till it kills me. In the end of the both the decisions, death is common.
So there's that.
Also, I'm 26 5 years old. This life is not even for me.
Brother, I know exactly how you are feeling. I still feel the same sometimes. We all feel like we are loosing time thus gets frustrated. We also need to be rational with these things. If you are not earning money right now through your passions and if you have responsibilities that you need to fulfill, a full time job is a safest option ( we should be grateful ). Till you feel like you can take financial risk, its better to fulfill your responsibilities. I understand it might frustrate you in the long run but all we can do as humans is to live in the present moment and make decisions that are best suited to your current situation.

Yeah, i don't have much responsibilities also, marriage and a family are not even in the cards for me in the future. For now, I'll be focusing on my health and mental health. Maybe do a job for that survival. My main focus will be on my art. S*icide is a retirement plan for me lol. Maybe will go down in glory fighting some criminals haha.
These train of thoughts helps to keep my mental sanity otherwise by now, would've been long dead.

Don't talk about suc*de. I know it's tough out there but life is precious and we should utilize it for whatever time we have on this earth
