I have taken the FE exam before and Ive tried a few different strategies. I’ve tried to split the time 50/50, and I have also tried to spend more time on the afternoon section. My next go around I’m planning on spending a little more than half the time in the morning b/c I feel like there are more opportunities to get things right if I slow down a bit. My experience is with the FE Mechanical exam.
That sounds like a good plan. I would also suggest that when you take the practice exam, try out this strategy and see if it will work for you, so if it doesn't, you can tweak it. Keep up the good work and I hope your studies are going well 😊
I failed because I wasn’t good at time management and as dumb as this sounds, I was not aware of the breakdown. So I used the entire time for the first half came back from the break and boom all my time was up. Couldn’t even see the questions of the second half.
That doesn't sound dumb at all! It actually happens more than you think! I hope that this video helps a lot of other students from going through a similar situation.

i was so confused when i took mine because the 1st half were 59 questions. included Survey (i took FE Civil) in the first half. so i took about 2.5 hrs in the first half and had about 2 hrs and 10 min on the second.
i am studying to take civil pe for 3rd time. killed fe exam from 1st whack. these vids on fe exam are also relevant to me at about 70% of the time. thanks.

We're working on having it ready by the beginning of next year!

Is the cheat sheet the same for all disciplines or will it be different for a mechanical engineer?
And is it the same as the provided searchable pdf for the exam?
