With its epic drone notes, the Pastorale invokes the tradition of the Italian Zampogna (bagpipe) players who would come into Rome on Christmas eve.

I'm not a very devout Catholic Christian, however for some years now on December 24-25, I've been listening to A. Corelli's "Concerto fatto per la notte di Natale " in its entirety; for me it has become a ritual and this wonderful music makes Christmas look beautiful despite its contradictions. I already plan next Christmas to listen to this wonderful full or partial version. Thank you!
I am not a believer but my favourite music is baroque sacred, a selection of which will play at my funeral.

Would love to hear the entire Concerto…love the Corelli Op. 6…when is DG or Decca going to sign your group to an exclusive contract?
We are working on the whole concerto now.
It would be nice to have a contract, but by retaining the rights we can ensure that the music will always be free.
@@VoicesofMusic Does your group travel, or are your concerts only in the SF area? I live in So Cal and would really love to hear you live, although the acoustics in other venues may not be as good as the one you perform in.
