i see. how does the pin move on its own going up? i would like to make this heavier duty for my van. one for each tow hitch front and back. 4 feet of height.

That’s awesome, i’ll make something like that but i’ll just say it’d be better to make it with a thicker metal. And when you weld w tig, sharper the tungsten better, and sharpen it so the striations or going to the tip and not sideways. Also clean the metal good when welding with tig, well any type of welding really but tig especially. Paint, rust, anything that’s not the clean metal can and will contaminate the tungsten and lead to a weaker weld. Ultimately ruining your tungsten faster

The load of it all is taken up by two small tack welds. Very dangerous. They should be replaced by two flat steel pices fully fillet welded, with holes were the nuts are.
Thanks for comment. Actually it is not just tack weld at all. The loaded positions are full welded. In the show becauese of sharp light of TIG welding, all scenes of full welding has been shortened.
For getting off the car, push the back lever to go up a little bit higher and then release first upper lock button moreover jack start to come down....

Well this is absolutely brilliant. If you make 4 of them you could have a lift anytime anyplace!
