    That Celtic necklace looks like a scent/infusion necklace where you put aromatic scent pads inside

    Could you do a video on explaining estate sales and garage sales for beginners?
    You seem ridiculously knowledgeable on so many different vintage treasures where I would never even know better.
    Even the basics like how estate sales work (rules) or tips to find garage sales would be really helpful.
    Great video as usual btw.

    this guy is a risk taker!!!! but hey that's how the pro's roll!! awesome stuff man. what goes in that necklace ? you sounded like you kinda knew but never said what, cause i'd wish i could scope one like that someday. only cause my grandpa i remember had one and he loved it so much when he was still around, grandma despised it, and they would kinda argue whenever gpa looked in it. anyways sorry for the long novel of a comment, well good luck next time at the sales, and i do thank you for showing that one like my grandpa's. was good to think back about him and stuff and how much he loved his necklace thing and that's cause old pappy liked sugar alot so much he would nt eat it or sprinkle it he would just sniff it . he was a googy gpa love that man, gma was right though when they argued that one day that sugar will catch up its not good

    That one garage sale was full of treasure. I bet that you really looked everything over a second time after you started finding all the precious metals! (I made this comment before you talked about finding sterling at the other sale. LOL!) What a great silver finds day. Don't we all hope to find some sales like this one at least once. Love the video.

    Great finds as always. Sanborn's was/is (don't know if they are still in business) the Tiffany's of Mexico, definitely an upscale store who handled product by designers such as William Spratling (the big name in Mexican Silver Jewelry.) Unfortunately that tray probably has more melt value than design value, but you never know, you should search Sanborn's Sterling.

    Hi great finds love your channel!
    My first impression of the turquoise to me looks fake the big piece that you said had been glued the whole piece doesn't make any sense no real jewelery maker would put out a piece like that the smaller pieces may be real but that big piece looks questionable people will sell you fake turquoise made from soap that has been fashioned in some way to make it look natural and that piece doesn't even look natural so if you take your magnifying glass and look at the painted brush strokes on the back I can see them on my phone
    Just saying...thank you for sharing

    Like your finds but you REALLY should have carried more cash and not low-balled her like that when you know your already making an outrageous profit. Sorry but not cool and not good that your proud of it & encouraging that.

      Don't really see this as that bad. should he of offered $50 when he already had the other pieces?. not like she said $10 and he came back with $2. she asked him how much. I do agree in trying not to take advantage, but don't think this is one of those times

    • @SecondHandJan
      @SecondHandJan 7 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      To say his profit is outrageous is rude! He was not stealing from her! People have the right to sell what they want for whatever they ask. It's the SELLERS fault if they are lazy and just don't care enough to check or be smart on knowing what they are selling! Too bad if you don't like it, that has always been the world of antique dealers, and re-sellers. This young man is kind, fair, very knowledgeable, and does not deserve insults.

      Mike C is the type of person that believes in some type of socialist agenda, somehow that it is the buyers responsibility to educate the seller. Know your product or be prepared to sell it for less than what it is worth.

      @@SecondHandJan Ian offering him jewerly jars and i know their worth more, but am to lazy to sit their and video and sell, all i want is to make my money back and 100 dollar profit what i paid I know its worth way more but Doing those vídeos is work.
