The Nanoleaf Shapes Hexagons are my fave. Meanwhile I have got 12 panels of them in my living room and also 12 panels in my bedroom. They are so much upgrading each room. Glad I bought them.

Great thing... I have 13 panels... I used the floor to put them together in a pleasing array then used that to put them on the wall. The newer packs come with 'command' type strips. Just leave a bit of the sticker OUTSIDE of the securing click-on to pull off.

Don’t use the adhesive pads that come with them. Use the 3M Command Strips instead, these will come off your wall very easily (when you want them to) and won’t cause any damage to your paintwork.

You probably got the expansion pack. They don’t come with a cable. I made the same mistake too. You have to get the smarter kit. If you didn’t already figure that out

To begin you need a 'Starter Pack' of 5 or 9 panels. These have the controller and the power supply. If you bought just three... that's an expansion pack to enhance a starter pack that has been purchased already.
