She was in the prime of life! Another family, with the pain of loosing a Mother, but she lives on! And she will watch over her children from above! 💜🙏🏻God has the power to heal, never forget!

You will all be together again, and in the mean time, Melanie will be watching and smiling over you. I am so very sorry for your loss. I discovered Melanie when I was just learning how to sew and she convinced me that I could do it. She touched so many people and she will be missed.

Melanie taught me how to quilt with her “My First Quilt” series. I’m so sad. I will never forget her. My prayers are with her husband, kids and the rest of her family. We’ve lost a good one.
Me too! I learned to quilt by watching her videos- on repeat repeat and repeat again! She was sooo very helpful. What a beautiful person.
That really was a great series. I’ve since made 5 quilts and am working on a sixth.

I am so very saddened to hear of Melanie's passing. You were a gifted, wonderful teacher and I would run to TH-cam to find your tutorials. I did not know of your cancer journey until today. I was actually trying to find a new tutorial You are healed and with Jesus now, beautiful Melanie! I will pray for your family! I pray that they are comforted and loved going through this journey without your beautiful presence in their lives. I will continue to go to your wonderful tutorials and learn. I’m utterly shocked and saddened to read this. I just started this hobby of crocheting 4 weeks ago and her video was the first one that popped up. She was the first person to teach me and I’ve made hats, mitts and scarves, all thanks to her. What a beautiful person inside and out. May she rest in eternal peace and may God bless her family 🕊

I just discovered Melanie and started to save her videos due to becoming a first time sewer and I stumbled onto the Memorial video. It literally broke me, my deepest apologies to her family and to all of those who loved her, she seemed to have been such a kind soul. Sending warm thoughts and prayers.

Melanie, I am praying for you and your family. As a fellow crafter, I have followed your channel and your videos have brought me much joy. My mom, 3 years ago, was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. It was also a rare, aggressive cancer. She went through surgery, chemo, and radiation. She is currently cancer free.
The first few months after a diagnosis like this are traumatic (and that's an understatement). But you're a strong woman, and I have total faith you will get through this. We support you and are praying for you! Much love to you Melanie.

I am new to TH-cam and I watched your Beginner Quilt series and decided to take a leap of faith and purchased a sewing machine and supplies needed to make a similar quilt. Once I received all my supplies I successfully completed my first quilt. Thank You for the inspiration.
I understand what you are currently going through as I too have gone through 2 bouts of Cancer in the last 3 years. There were days that I was so discouraged but I had to remind myself that God is in control and He will get me through no matter the outcome and He did!

I just found you today. I'm starting quilting. I subscribed and I was through the 3rd of your 1st quilt videos when I saw that you had passed. I've watched the service and read your story. I'm so sorry I didn't know you sooner. What a loss!? Your family and friends must be struggling without you. I'm glad to know of your faith. I will meet you one day soon. In the meantime, I will continue to watch and learn. By the way, I watched all of the 1st quilt videos and I have already ordered my quilting sewing machine. I learned so much from you. Thank you. I just learned of Melanie's passing last night and was absolutely devastated. Melanie was my very favorite crochet guru and my go to girl for an easy, patient lesson. I admired her beautiful smile as she opened her sweet soul and life to this community of followers. Hi Melanie, I don’t know if this helps at all, but I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer at 23, and I’m now nearly 10 years in remission, so 5 years all clear. I’ll be thinking of you and sending good thoughts for Monday 💕
Such a fresh, warm, kind hearted inspirational woman, I am beyond shocked by reading this , such courage, such a determination and drive to fight this disease. Melanie's family must be so devastated, her children, her husband, her parents and brother. I’m so very sorry that we have lost this beautiful, bubbly, awesome lady. I’ve been crying for a week. I really didn’t know her but I really did. She came through my screen and taught me so much. In the same evening I found this lovely lady's quilting for Beginners Videos (which I watched one after the other) and then found out she had passed away. She was beautiful and only 36. So very sad. Melanie, I wanted to learn to quilt as my nephew & his wife are having a baby in August & I wondered if I could try to make a baby quilt for them - your videos have made me feel I can do it even though I never have made one before. I am so sorry for your family's loss - what a cruel world this can be sometimes. I truly believe they will see you again but right now, I just feel you were taken from them far too soon.
