What is the difference with Shell Cordovan vs the usual Veg Tanned Leather?

Lost out again for the 3rd time in 3 years. Impossible to buy once it is in your cart. Need a better method to ensure it is possible to buy once it is in your cart and you are trying to pay for it. Frustrated again.
