    the crafting system was implemented because of players not wanting to do 10000000 of dungeons to grind for a specific white. which in my eyes, means blueprints should only drop from the specific thing u kill, and it should only use the items u get from the specific dungeon. and all blueprints were avalible

    ive played this game for over 9 years...the amount of people like seb who have that many whites and play that much is extremely small. the average player being able to combine 4 nearly-equally-rare items into one of their choosing is fine.

      i got 17k base fame now and for this farm time i got only 1 gemstone(15red ore), to craft o3 white. I was in nest,shatts,lh,sanctuary and more dungs. So forge system is still hard for average players. i dont see the problem with crown bp

      Putting thousands of hours into a game is your own problem in the end, of course the game does not feel rewarding at all when you have played it for so much and you have everything you can ask for.

    My biggest issue with the forge honestly is that you only need a few marks to get anything you want. You barely need to play a dungeon at all to make the item you want from it at the forge. I think it should require a lot more marks. Heck, make marks a stackable item even. I've seen that suggested before and it seems like a simple solution for nerfing the forge in a meaningful way.

    As a semi casual player who takes long stretches of breaks then stretches of grinding, even with forges i still get excited when i get a white i want. I have about 10 exalt dungeon white items stored and gottten maybe 60% of them as drops. I crafted an enforcer before i ever got one drop. I was still hella excited when i had an enforcer drop for the first time. I always felt like crafting an item was more of a trial run and getting it as a drop was when i rlly had it.
    Ive crafted 3 horns and had like 4 of them drop yet i still get excited every time a horn drops cuz i like the fight and i feel like i am getting rewarded for doing the fight.
    final argument, literally if you dont like forge then dont use it. Sebchoof complains about forge yet forges gladguards constantly and has also gotten all whitebags countless times enough to the point where he can leave horns on the ground and not feel bad. He is not representative of the average playerbase experiance and companies shouldnt try to appease minorities over the majority.

    I just cant understand how being able to get a good item is a concern for a game that has no competition. No pvp or such a thing.
    I'm on the side where forge was great. I remember how rare a doom bow was and when I first got mine I never used it because I was afraid of losing it. I think forge made the game less scary for new players which is good.
    In addition, 100% agree with the forge rework. As well as I do not have 100s of legendary white bags to spare.

      ruins it for me pretty much cus i can get a infinite amount of any white almost makes me not care about running enjoyable dungeons and whites dont give the happiness they used to

      @@jarretec That might be better than the current blueprint system honestly. Would achieve the same thing but it might even increase the value a player might have on their first white bag drop.

    Us Endgame players usually also already have pretty much every desirable item and don't really need the forge. I just forge a horn every 5 days, just to have more of them. Or just some dps items now for the backups to use on shatters.
    The forge is probably more so suited for mid game players than endgame players

      Yeah, I wanted to make the point without being condescending. But if you've grinded so much that you have that many whites I find it hard to believe you still get hyped about whites in general.

      that thinking is somewhat flawed because i have done thousands of shatters and hundreds and hundreds of O3's and still dont have all the whites i would want because of the extended breaks i take and the fact that crowns just dont exist in that matter, the only crown i have ever had was an ice crown after doing about 400+ ice tombs and seeing other people get 5 in 15 min. so the crafting system helps you to get rid of shit items ( like bplate, fungal/crystal whites, and other items) to get actually useable items. there are no negatives for either group.

      @@kohenculver1635 I habe down about 4000 shatters and got more crowns than i need. With the inclusion of horn aswell, which i think is a better ring overall, i dont need crown anymore and just have 15 of those in my vault and backups

    every item should have a blueprint - theyre adding enchantments later on so just make them super rare and then that will solve the problem and give end game players even more impossible stuff to grind for.

    The worst part of the forge system is not because you can forge legendary whites, the worse part is that some blueprint are so rare that you can basically say if you miss the campaign you might never get one anymore

      Yea I am not a fan of blueprints that can only drop from campaigns, like this motmg the crown bp for example. Deca decided to start the campaign when the majority of players are starting the school semester

    my thoughts are:
    if you don't like the feature then don't use it 3head, it's on you if you hate it and still use it, it's not like it's taken the hype out of finally getting the white bag you want via grinding,
    if you like it, good on you, grind for those white bags and craft that item you really want for your character
    I really do like the idea of crafts being made from items inside the dungeons though, but I don't agree with the pity drop as if you know about it then that white bag becomes a whole less hype to get

    I'm not an extremely active player by any means, and I don't get a lot of high end item drops either, but I still am on the side of not liking the forge at all as it is now. I've been playing this game for 9 years now (IGN: Etahn) and been fine with the rarity of white bag items the entire time. The rarity and prestige of some items is what made the game fun for me, especially the ones that don't feel essential in any way (cdirk lol). Now when I find a white bag that has no immediate use I just end up crafting it into another mad robe or some other item that I'm too lazy to trade for a tiered variant of.
    Imo the crafting system took away the excitement of white bags even as a relatively inactive player and I don't really understand why they didn't at least add a way to differentiate between a crafted and dropped item. It's a really simple system and woulda gave me, personally, a reason to grind for an item as opposed to crafting it. Just a mark on the item, text in the description, or even a different tier for crafted items, just enough to make dropped items feel good to own again

      To expand on what I meant, I do find it really weird and boring that the best way to get crafting materials is just joining a discord and running lost halls on repeat. It gives you no incentive to run other dungeons and even does the opposite since running anything else would be inefficient. It's like, if anybody also plays runescape, if rs3 added a minigame that gave an exp lamp with more than or slightly less than exp rates than the best training methods of each skill, why would you do anything else if you can just get used to this one thing and max all skills? Why would I do godland dungeons for these items and pots when I can just run lost halls and trade or craft for EVERYTHING that I need. It just pushes people into a playstyle that is boring and they may not even realize it

      @@ethanrobbins4154 Yeah, current Item Forge implementation incentivizes just no lifing exaltation dungeons 24/7 for everything. Takes a ton of variety out of the game

      I’ve been playing about the same amount of time and I think if the item is gotten legitimately in game than it’s not a problem. Literally, we sat through a multiboxer epidemic in Rotmg which was worsw for the game than an optional, system to alternatively get UT items if you happened to get them to drop for you by luck of the draw.

      @@spacewizardpip1111 It's not about the system being optional at all. I like to collect items but I find some of those same items to be useful so I craft more. Collecting easy to craft yet rare items feels far less valuable to me than the old system. I'm not gonna argue opinion, I'm just gonna give mine again: I hate the crafting system.
      Edit: A good example is during a shaitans event I ran them 24/7 and collected 9 shaitans skulls. At the time I was ecstatic. I didn't use them and I loved having them in my vault. They mean nothing now. They are worth dirt and not useful

    forging is conceptually a very good mechanic. i previously thought there should be a system where an item has a base value drop rate at 1% for example, and for each boss/dungeon clear, that value increases by a hundredth. after 5 dungeons, it would be 1.05%, and so on. since then i was yearning for something to break up the monotony of grinding bosses or dungeons over and over again. forge definitely needs to work out its kinks, and the most prominent change would be being able to forge with items from the same dungeon or of similar dungeons (since abyss and udl only has 1 UT tied to their dungeons). if that goes through, i'm definitely fine with crown becoming available via forging.

      But that's kinda already the case, with the truly top tier items requiring materials that lower dungeons just don't produce when forging with them. You can't turn 150 cbows into 1 S tier item. Plus a mark.. maybe 10 marks, so it shows you've been doing that thing a lot? But the tiers kinda already achieve what you are asking for there.

      @@carrinhodemao6969 4 items with the same rarity as the potato though.. you've got to have gotten "lucky" 4 times but gotten things you don't care about to then craft 1 thing out of that. Plus have the bp for whatever you wanted in the first place, which for things like OSanc BP, you looted on the actual dungeons (campaign BP exclusivity can be stupid, and the forge interesting, they are separate topics.. I missed every BP before crown myself). AND marks from the dungeon you are targetting. I don't know, if you are a newer player that isn't like me sitting on 1500 vault spaces filled with UTs, 4 to 1 luck converter really isn't that bad I think.

      @@MasterdoMagic doesn't matter, potato is way better than any 4 crystal caverns whites. I don't think the point here is about the luck aspect, of course you had to get lucky 4 times, but the items are so bad and the dungeon is so easy that it makes it so there is no tradeoff for giving the 4 crystal caverns UT's for 1 potato. I've always thought of the forge as being kind of a trade deal, where you give equal value items for another item that isn't necessarily better, but you really want, if you apply this thought process for crystal whites and a potato(or any decent white for that matter) it makes no sense, since you are giving what is essentially trash for a god tier item.

      @@carrinhodemao6969 Fungal + Crystal isn't easier than MBC and Void I think. Not significantly enough to trigger anyone at least. And it is a trade deal, in rarity, not necessarily in value. Hopefully in time they rework purely trashy white bags and the concept works without changing the forge.
      Imo the issue with the forge isn't the forge at all. Items are meant to have intrinsic value, and in a game like rotmg they can do this by either being game changing, or providing status. It's really difficult for anything to be game changing when joining a discord run with the minimum reqs vs 4/4 BiS doesn't change your odds of success. So the only thing left is status, and the forge is taking that away indeed. And this drives people mad, because it is stealing the last value that items were providing. Why not give everyone anything at this point, now that no one "earns" their item. Read your posts again, are you truly mad that more people get to play with potato, or that you having many potatoes because you value the item is trivialized by someone trashing 4 crystal cloaks to get it.
      I say this is entirely bullshit. Barely anyone earns anything as it is already, forge or not, and item as status is garbage anyway. Items as game changing things have much more fun and interest to me. When playing in small groups, items retain that intrinsic value, and the forge plays a cool part in turning 4 rare white bags into something useful that you are actively using to make a difference in your gameplay, not as a bragging token. When used this way, you have interesting odds of losing said item, much more than when parading it on 4/4 characters in DPS meta running some duped key with 49 other people.
      Forge isn't the issue. Discords removing any value for items for so much of the playerbase is.

    honestly, I disagree with the pity white drops. I do agree, however, that the forge system is flawed. The biggest problem I have is that the solution they put in place to people being unlucky and never getting the item they want has the SAME issue as what it is trying to fix. The blueprints have a pretty low droprate in itself and it is pretty much as rare as a white bag and completely rng. For instance, I've done a lot of o3s but I've never gotten a superior. Can I forge one then? nope, Ive never gotten the blueprint either lmao, guess I'm just really unlucky then. They should make it so that you can choose a specific blueprint to be unlocked after you do the dungeon a certain amount of times. It doesn't even have to be a small amount of completions, could be 50 or even 75, but it would atleast give a guaranteed goal and reward (besides exaltations) for grinding a dungeon. Imo being able to forge the item you want using other legendary whites is fine the way it is, but I have a different problem with the crown blueprint and some other blueprints from campaigns. I certainly hope that they make the crown blueprint a permanent drop in the shatters, unlike colo sword and mseal. I find it absolutely ridiculous that some blueprints are completely out of the reach of some players just because they didn't play during a specific event. I can kinda understand items like chipper or incubation mace not being available since they're "seasonal" items and will probably come back with blueprints aswell during the next easter/christmas (even thouh incubation mace is kind of an issue since it is undoubtedly the best mace in the game), but colo sword, mseal and (possibly) crown are absolutely inexcusable, the blueprints should be obtainable even without the campaign.

      I agree for the most part. Pitty drops would be something I want only if the forge didn’t exist. And I do hope shatters BP is obtainable normally because it’s really stupid if not.

    I think forging needs a change too. I made a post on reddit when forging came out about only being able to use items from the same dungeon to forge but no one agreed at the time lol. I was also thinking they could just have a lot more different kinds of ores in the game so for example they can have an ore for event whites or an ore for o3 items or something similar.

      I agree exactly, I think I mention it in the video. But for example I think being able to forge a crown from 2 bracers, or Colo sword from Bplate+potato would be a far better system. Because then value is consistent across forging.

    Personally, I feel UTs are good alternatives to the game without them being able to be traded around like the olden days of Rotmg. Making the Crown Blue Print isn’t an issue all imo. I’ve been playing this game since damn Wild Shadow days with amulet of resurrections in the Nexus the Forge is fine for the game but it needs a slight number of tweaks feel more balanced for the game I guess. A majority of players will make a Crown of the Forgotten will make one then possibly die with it just as quick. I think the community as a whole should care about the quality of the player experience since not ever person has the time or recourses to play on the level of people are rolling in end game items. Being able to have things in the game that kind of help players get a boost into being at an end game level at their own pace outside of just hoping they can get a white bag at random is better for the game than running 100s of Shatters to see nothing you’d want is fine, if it isn’t being hacked into the game then I’d say it isn’t an issue since all of our characters no matter how cool they are will eventually die. If a player is able to make one Crown from the blue brint and doesn’t use some methods that aren’t legitimately doable in game then I can sleep happily lol

    I love how people forgot marks are things you NEED to craft the item in the first place. I love how they think a crown is "free" as long you have other legendaries to craft, and not something you need to do at LEAST 3 times for the new and harder shatters, to craft.

    I agree that forge needs a tweek, and there is still next to no information publicly that I’ve seen on UT trading. Why not spend tons of Greater Life to buy fungal breast plates for forge fire rather than actually grinding. UT trading was hinted and if it makes a return then it will directly affect the forge fire.

      I don’t think legendary whites will be tradable and eventually every item would be fairly priced in the market at 1/4 the most valuable item.

    I think you mean the clown controversy, I’ve grinded shatters forever and done thousands and have gotten 2 crowns from my efforts. And now that the shatters rework is coming it will be twice as long and hard to grind shatters. I feel that this was a great thing for deca to do to release a crown BP.

      Don't really agree with this comment, the drop rates are going to be boosted and there will be less downtime and invulnerability phases, so I wouldn't say "twice as long and hard" to grind.

      @@edcaous yes but from what we’ve been shown, the bridge guardian dances around like a deadly ballerina of doom insta popping everyone in its path, the twilight arch mage is literally a demonstration of what would happen if a tornado went over a glass factory, and we don’t even KNOW what the third boss will do.
      So I think I’ll just vibe in my vault with my crafted crowns, tyvm

    i got 2 crowns within my first two weeks of playing (less than 50 shatters done during shatts event). i fed one to my pet and the other after a while too because i prefer survivability over dps (imho deca/horn > crown). crown has the highest dps stats for a ring without any requirements. the +110 hp are unnormal. more than 100 hp on the best dps ring without any conditions? damn.

    I'm perfectly fine with the crown blueprint. I'm definitely an average player. I got a crown on my first Shatters complete, but I'm too afraid to use it cause I don't want to lose it. Getting the blueprint would help lift the eventual guilt of losing the crown when I decide to use it. Without the blueprint, the crown would be no different to keeping a kendo stick in my vault. This also applies to other items too.

    To be honest i dislike the new shatters. I think it doesent feel like rotmg and I dont want to spend time grinding it, so the crown bp is a good thing. But how you get the blueprint annoys me, mtomg starts at the same time as my school so I cant really grind the event. So if it's a blueprint that is exclusive to this event (like colo was) I am highly against it becouse that would force ppl to play just so that they can still keep up with the dps standard that is expected endgame players to have.

    In my opinion crown bp is perfectly fine. The mid-endgame players can get their hands on it and equip on best characters and when it comes to elite players it doesn't matter. Nowadays the status for the elite players is the ability to be valuable player in the dungeon (o3 dmg done, rushing skills, speedruns and overall respectable skills) The easier access to crown only makes it better to pursue yourself in skill. I have a theory that we are getting omni bp on 2nd campaign which is just a sexy ring. Hopefully the event whites remain in the same state with some of the blueprints in the game - not less. I personally was grinding avatars for a month to get a tab/tab bp for my freshly exalted wizard. Luckily got bp. When it comes to rare items - ogmur, conflict and cdirk are the gucci drip ones, which should remain wihout bp to make them extra exclusive.

    they should have just adjusted the drop rate so that crown actually drops, but for players who exalted all their characters on atk already, the blue print is a life safer for user

    They should make marks stackable and require 15 marks from a dungeon so you have to do that dungeon multiple times and not just get it with a click of their finger

    I have no issue with the blueprints, not at all. The only thing is that the bp should drop from the king himself in the new shatters rather than having it available for a few days in the campaign. After the campaign is over a lot of people who didn’t reach the level won’t have another chance of probably getting it again

    I'm still very casual at the game so I don't see it as bad cause I don't have a bunch of legendary rarity items which is 1. So crafting the end stuff is still a long and far off grind for me and my friends.

    Damn crafting looked pretty broken back then. Thank goodness now you need at least 2 shatts whites to craft any shatts white now, which i guess was the original concept of the forge, to trade in whites for a white you wanted

      @@tfgi2364 It won't, do you remember when the lost halls were added? All of the discord stuff that exists today was formed and ppl learned to run the dungeon in like 2 weeks max. Now that we already have the infrastructure (shatts discords) and we ran the dungeon on testing I doubt it will take any longer than it took for us to run lost halls without any trouble.

    I was going to write a whole rant about this but it seems the comments already agree.
    Most people cant invest 7 hours a day into this game, but then people wonder why RotMG is dying. Stuff like this allows regular individuals who have lives outside the game to actually enjoy it in a new way.
    The only people I see complaining are people who grind out 24/7, and honestly those people are the ones who seemingly force this game to get stale.

    People wonder why realm isn't gaining new players but then turn around and say new players shouldn't be able to forge items (that still require other legendary whites and marks) which would help them transition into the mid and endgame a bit easier than it was to do in the past. Maybe its just me as a newer player myself, but i see the forge as something positive (that i use 99% of the time for making high fp UTs, since unlike every endgame elitist out there, i don't have a 100/100/100 pet yet lmao).

      the reason realm doesn’t get new players is because it survives on whales funding the game and does nothing to advertise itself. It’s also a genre that is extremely niche, again relying on dedicated players rather than mass of their general player base.

      Heavy disagree. Rotmg’s issue with getting new players is not alleviated by the forge system at all.
      If anything, forge confuses newer players to the point where they either ignore it completely or quit.

    I think pity drops are a great idea. It was frustrating as a new endgame player to do 125 shatters to get my first crown. Since then I've fully exalted three classes in att and no more white bags, let alone a crown.

      Yeah kinda how Apex legends does it with their crate system. The chance of the rarest item is 1/500 and if you don't get one. On crate 500 you are guaranteed to get it.

    As someone who doesnt have a divine pet. the forge system is both super helpful and useless. i can use the forge to make items worth feeding like Cloak of the Planewalker from 4 random easy to farm uts. on the other hand turning 4 rare whites into 1 white that i want is a waste and i would rather just feed all 4 and increase the level of my pet therefore increasing survivability.

    honestly this game desperately needs an actual reward system. nothing feels worse than killing the same boss hundreds of times only to not be recompensed with the one thing you actually want.
    It makes grinding feel like a chore and a waste rather than something i want to spend my time on because a light blue star with 4 hours in the game can shoot avatar 2 times and get a tablet all the while someone who has grinded avatar for years could potentially never get it in their lifetime because they didnt roll the jackpot
    Ive done hundreds of o3's and im still missing the two blueprints i actually want through no fault of my own. and theres nothing i can do about it, and im sure many, MANY other players are stuck in the same frustrating loophole :/

    I’ve played since middle school so at the point where I I’m I only play ppes and I don’t believe you should craft items on ppe so either way to me the grind is fun and ima get another crown

    Yes, the forge option has lowered the value of white bag UTs overall, as you only need the mark whereas before you had to learn the dungeon as you grinded for the item, but I'm fine with the crown blueprint simply existing as it is right now.
    I agree the forge system was implemented in a flawed manner, and that there could have been better ways to go about it.
    Perhaps the forge system should have a star requirement first, so that players who don't know what UT stands for, or what those yellow or red symbols mean, such as blue stars, don't have access to it straight away.
    From watching people stream the game for the first time, I've seen that the forge system tends to confuse newer players and nothing more.
    I think more items should have a blueprint instead of being presented as an option straight away, as it's not like you can expect from a player who's only starting out to have legendary materials on hand.
    This might be unpopular, but if it was up to me, I'd move all the forgeable items that require legendary materials, such as the fungal breastplate, vile trap and QOT to a purchasable exalted blueprint in the nexus, so that players when starting out the forge system, can acquaint themselves with the rare and common materials before moving to the next level.

    The forge is a good mechanic, plain and simple. Just because sebchoof spent thousands of hours grinding and getting whites and he "can craft whatever I want every 5 days" doesn't mean it's a bad system. even without the forge sebchoof and other players like him would still have massive stockpiles of every rare white imaginable. You can't blame game devs for adding a feature that "makes the game too easy" if you play the game non-stop, feature or not you're still gonna grind the game and get all there is to get. To relate this to another game, Escape from Tarkov. With every new update of that game, the best players (aka streamers) complain the game is getting too easy because they play it 12 hours a day. At the end of the day a feature making the game easier and more accessible to new players is more important than making it difficult for players who play 1000's of hours

      Nah. A pity system is 100% needed, and Item Forge helps with that. The issue is that Item Forge creates new metas where you are better off running exaltation dungeons 24/7 instead of playing a variety of dungeons. Why waste your time farming libs for a cutter if you can just run Nests and craft one? It takes a lot of enjoyment out of the game for me personally, because I feel that if I am not just sitting in discords running exaltation dungeons, then I am just wasting my time

      Pity drops would only really work imo without. The forge has a really good concept and works for f2p players but has a money dump option if you really want. I do think it’s flawed how it was implemented 4 stingers shouldn’t = horn/crown

    I do dislike the forge, but Tbh I can just... not use it. Its ultimately a choice on whether you craft or not. I think crafting items that are otherwise unobtainable all year round (Chipper for example) Is fine by me. However, I only really do ppe characters, so my point comes from a biased view towards loving the grind. In conclusion, I do not like using the forge. I do think its great for people who cannot sink much time into the game, I do like ihe idea proposed in the video, which is to use whites from the same dungeon only to get items. And for event whites, it would only be craftable from other event whites. So, I really like how they implemented the forge as a choice. Do I want to do ppes? or play a generalized account, If I do a ppe, Im still hyped to see white bags drop, and therefore the magic is still there. I do not really care whether other people are there with generally better stuff, if anything it makes stuff like a 0/8 crown ppe a reality. (My one and only ever crown wb btw XD)
    Plus, you have the ability to say that it was not a forged crown. Which is a flex in its own right.

    The way they executed the forge and blueprints is a complete disaster
    Edit: i think every dungeon should drop its own blueprints after doing the dungeon X amount of times ( based on dungeon rarity etc) and the blueprint would allow you only to craft one of the item it is for then it will be destroyed and you still need to destroy other whites to craft them
    Edit 2: you apoke about what i tink blueprints should be, a "pity drop" where if you go dry on a dungeon you are eventually guaranteed something which the blueprints shouldve been

      It’s a legendary item drop from exaltation dungeon to make, another legendary that also drops from an exaltation dungeon. It’d probably creat a ton if problems to make certain items worth more in the forge based of their stats, usefulness, or anything else despite their rarity classifications. Who knows though

      Incredible simple and effective solution:
      Let's say you want to forge superior, ofc you'll need the blueprint. But lets also make it so you need two (example number) other whitebag drops from the same boss then.
      So to forge the superior you would need for example: bleuprint, genesis spell, cranium+2random legendary items
      Since events in realm only drop one white, make it so you can trade two event whites for one of your choice.
      Let's say you want to craft a jugg, then you would need: blueprint, ray katana+ogmur+random legendary.
