Because people vote for the songs they like best...that year I voted for Norway and Switzerland. That does not mean I dislike this song....absolute opposite. I keep coming back for some uplifting good mood music. This is a great summer hit, a great song for radio....but not neccessarily the song one votes for in the esc.

This is because of the people behind the Spanish candidature. They always send something similar to the previous year because they don't want Spain to win, because they know that people aren't going to vote to somethinig that sounds like the winner of the year before. If Spain wins they would have to work more organicing the festival for the same salary, that's the point. I've read that there are going to make changes in the RTVE staff. If they do it maybe next year we can get at least 100 points xd If not, we would send a rock band with a boring song. Save my comment until next year xD
Honestly, though I'm immensly happy with the win for The Netherlands, I feel like Spain was so wronged! I danced through my living room with this song and it made my whole family super happy. Spain deserved better!

Spain is super underrated. It makes me sad actually, because whatever Spain sends, they always end bottom five yet most summer hitsongs in Europa are Spanish?????
Because people vote for the songs they like best...that year I voted for Norway and Switzerland. That does not mean I dislike this song....absolute opposite. I keep coming back for some uplifting good mood music. This is a great summer hit, a great song for radio....but not neccessarily the song one votes for in the esc.

This is because of the people behind the Spanish candidature. They always send something similar to the previous year because they don't want Spain to win, because they know that people aren't going to vote to somethinig that sounds like the winner of the year before. If Spain wins they would have to work more organicing the festival for the same salary, that's the point.
I've read that there are going to make changes in the RTVE staff. If they do it maybe next year we can get at least 100 points xd If not, we would send a rock band with a boring song. Save my comment until next year xD

Audience reaction is usually enough to gauge the winner and when I heard this song, the first time no less, I thought to myself 'I'm looking at the winner'. My jaw dropped when I saw the song came DEAD LAST in the jury vote. What the hell???? What's even the point of sending great songs that reflect your culture when they get trashed like this by the juries?
