Millions of students struggle to stay engaged. While traditional curriculums are often one-size-fits-all, Tulsa Public School district is taking a new approach, equipping students with tools to achieve success in and out of the classroom.
Beyond critical academic foundational skills, this initiative is allowing students to discover their own passions after school hours, which can lead to greater engagement with coursework and grow confidence in social settings.
By helping students find their unique niches, Tulsa Public Schools is empowering them to draw connections from their studies to personal interests, creating better learners.

Our education system needs a huge overhaul, and replaced with active learning, that will actually help the student prosper.
Agtech, physical education should be brought back moreso.. soil science, and *for sure critical thinking skills starting from day one*
I wish my school had a garden and more hands on learning
In the US hands on teaching was abolished by social design
@@jimmiejackson8489had to get kids ready for 8 hour work days...
I wish this program was available when I was in middle school decades ago. Im beginning to learn to grow food now and this would have been a grade changer
Authentic young guy spitting facts. Old folks busy being in "professional mode". 😂
There is hope for the future ❤🙏❤️
People like farming are introverts to some extent. Vids about farming, if you take a look at the comment section people barely argue nor disrepect other people. Even when they have arguments, they do it in respectful ways
yes... until it comes to yield competitions and salesman claims..
This is beautiful and so encouraging! I think there is hope for the future if I see vids like this, but we need to change the whole education system.
This is amazing! 🙌🙌🙌
Aren’t Schoolgardens a common concept for at least primary schools?
In Germany many (primary) schools have an own garden where the students grow crops and learn about it
Unfortunately it's a New concept to some people and it's slow growing to get it regulated across-the-board as a standard of learning but this is not a New concept Hands-On learning for children to get them engaged
Sweet…i always say..”hey..whatever works”!!!
This isn’t new at all. Ever heard of 4H? Shop class? This is good stuff that’s very old. Ask one who grew up in a rural area before the 1990s.
Correct this is not a New concept but for some reason and the two thousands or late 90s a lot of these things were taken out now they're bringing them back acting like these are all new concepts and really wow how much the children respond well to these things
as someone who grew up in many cities moving a lot... 4H is only known by kids in farming counties like mine now.. but in say, miami, not as much in the downtown area as much as the southwest swamp farmer area schools
@@dertythegrower good information to know thank you
0:40 I think you have to eat all the weird herbs and vegetables fruits grains mushrooms flowers seeds nuts as you can - and the more variety and consistency makes you not even get sick in the first place!
More youth should be into longterm always needed positions, like farmer tech, agtech, or even biochemistry and soil science.. something you can do long term in any location...
You or this school is telling these kids that something is wrong with them because they are introverted. That being an introvert is something that needs to be overcome. This couldn’t be further from the truth.
👏👏👏👏👏👏
States wants to test result.
Gardening is tedious and boring. If you can do that then you can do study.
There are cancer treatments like apricot seeds and now you can't find apricots in the shops.
Bioreactors are the future. Not hydro- or aqua- ponics.
