    I miss the more laid back adventures you had in this car. To me there is enough “tough tracks” content on TH-cam with ridiculously modified 4wds.

      Totally agree is a shame isn’t doing content with a car most people have and is selling it.

      @@newport5504 I was simply stating that I prefer the the more relaxed Overland adventures. Tyler was getting good at the story telling and production during those overland adventures and I was really enjoying his videos.
      I don’t need to crack open a beer and watch wheels lifts and bog holes and CVs blowing up and do the whole “tough tracks” thing, that’s been done to death.
      It was great seeing a fairly stock vehicle go to some amazing places.

    Having a duel cab I’ll miss the Nav and the touring & tracks you’ll do in it, not into big builds or tough tracks content so probably move away from your new content, all the best Tyler,

    Such a nicely set up Nav, actually it's what brought me to your channel.
    From finding a vid on the unfortunately stolen Nav to watching you set up the white one. It will be sad not seeing it on any more adventures. It's going to be an awesome tourer for someone.

  • @KarlEller
    @KarlEller ปีที่แล้ว +22

    I loved the videos you did in the Nav, it was great watching you start with a basic tub and eventually build up to this rig.
    I won't lie, I'll be sad when you sell the Navara, there are enough TH-camrs with lifted Patrols doing tough tracks, and the Navara was always something a little different.

      Just gotta stick to what I love doing and hope the people stick around. No point doing things for other people, not everyone is going to be happy regardless.

  • @Mjbrown223

    Big loss, is why I watched, to many other TH-camrs with ridiculous spec up 4wd (Patrols). Was the main reason why your channel was unique and different. The relaxed touring, 4wd and adventures.

    Just joined the D23 crowd, after a D21 and D22 (skipped the D40 for obvious reasons). The improvements in comfort make it a great touring rig, even though it is probably not as tough as my twin locked D22.
    Yet.
    It's never going to be a hardcore rig, but it's a great compromise for those of us who are prepared to use their rigs for long distance touring.
    Anyone wanna buy a twin locked, turboed, QD32?

    Hi mate have you ever blown the front diff housing as it’s made from cast alloy

    • @AndyViant
      @AndyViant ปีที่แล้ว +2

      4 of my last 5 4wd's have had alloy front diffs. None have broken.
      It's a combination of common sense, mechanical sympathy, and just plain old not installing too big a lift and then bouncing the damn thing at max rpm over and over again.
      Diff breakage CAN happen, but the criteria to do so are mostly dependant on driver misbehaviour.

    It's funny but I started watching your channel a few years ago after I sold my GU and bought a new Hilux. Was interested in how the ute's would perform. To be honest I never did like IFS out on the tracks and now have sold it and gone back to a GU Patrol again. I can understand why you bought two Patrols after wheeling the GU but it's still sad that the Nav has to go.

      No way it’s worth $100k with 80k km and all the hard work it’s done. A brand new ST-X is only $55k, $25k canopy, $15k electrical, $15k bar, suspension wheels and tyres. It is a great package though.

    Probably will get a lot of hate but, The reason I started watching way back in the day was because you had the black nav! Then the white, your channel appealed to me way more because of these cars, but as of late I don’t really watch anymore because (in my opinion) it’s just becoming another click bait whoa! Massive damage! Did I make it blah blah blah channel with these big rigs that every other TH-cam has, too me it’s lost in the sea of click bait channels, but just my opinion.

      @chrisspies8123 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree the titles are becoming more click bait. But for me as I know Tylers conte t is good. I move past that. I also get why Tyler is going to solid axle vehicles. And thats because he seems to be moving to do tougher tracks. And in my opinion solid axle are better for off road than IFS. AND Tyler even said the same. He needs the cash, so dont blame him.

    These knockers have clearly neglected to take in your Dad's (Gary's) MUX adventures, again a vehicle similar to what many are driving, the classification they put the Nav in. (How's the diff rebuild going? Keep us informed)
    Keep up the adventures, oh and take Dad along to retain & keep those confused subscribers happy.
    In the interim, provide for your fam first though, flog the Nav off.

      @@TylerThompson90 appreciate the reply and yes, doing the same becomes repetitive, so move on to whatever pleases you.
      So appreciate the GQ build, that Nick certainly makes a tedious job fun, couldn't imagine wheelin spanners all day to be fun, but he sure enjoys it.
      He did peave me off when he connected up your Redarc gauges and they appear to illuminate correctly, I'm still working out what I'm doing wrong in my GU, as display dull in daylight then bright at night.
      Enough of my problem, mate you do as you please, some will follow, some will move away, that's just life. I still enjoy whatever you present, but having 3 generations tracking around makes you unique, sets you apart from other youtubers.
