Lot of interesting things about this album.
1: Where Did Our Love Go... their big breakthrough, in this session, they stood Florence WAY back from the microphone, so you can barely hear her... the background almost sounds like Mary singing by herself.
2: Run Run Run... This was an earlier recording, with Babrara sppearing on the background vocals here.
3: Long gone Lover.. I LOVE the hippity hoppity cadence of it, Mary starting it out with her booming alto, and Florence's righteous adlibs at the end were just wonderful.
4: Come See About Me... This was originally recorded by Nella Dodds, and if you hear her version, you can hear it wasn't a hit for her.
5: Ask Any Girl..... This song was plagiarised by Len Barry with his hit record "1-2-3". Motown sued, and Jobete now owns the publishing rights to "1-2-3".

Wow, that's a lot of great Supremes trivia there. I wasn't familiar with the Nella Dodds version of Come See About Me. It's nice but not quite as punchy as the Supremes version, in my opinion. Thanks for sharing, Brock!

Crazy that we’re talking about an album from 60 years ago. I’m sure back in the ’60s, music from the early 1900s was not a topic of conversation.
