Don’t feel bad brother I’ve got times when I just don’t follow through with my process especially at big shoots and get really down on myself but I always bounce back and that’s what matters! Thanks so much God bless!

This is what I am trying to accomplish, in time. Some days I shoot pretty well, some days not so well. But it's fun anyway. I just liked and subbed, good encouraging video.

This is a PERFECT video for me
I own 8 compound bows and just started with recurves a 40 pound Shamik and 51 # big jim bow which I got for half price and shoots great BUT I'm definitely a greenhorn when it comes to trad

It's not hard you say???? Maybe not for you, but for a newbe like myself, it's certainly not easy ... but I know you are right ... you have to constantly practice & get into your own shot process! Great video ... thanks & God bless you!

Im coming from primitive to traditional but i found that focusing more on my form and less on accuracy gave me way better groups they definitely wasn't where i wanted them but i was always told if you can shoot a group you can always learn to move it and i did now i can get the accuracy i want to about 35 yards i normally hunt 25 or less.

    G'day,
Have learnt so much since subscribing to your channel.
One thing I don't recall seeing is your lower body positioning.
What stance do you use i.e. where are your feet placed in relation to alignment towards the target?
    Cheers mate

Nice shooting! I have a small collection of longbows and ILF's. I do my best shooting with a 21" Satori. Subscribed to your channel, nice vids.

    Archers!!
Listen very carefully to Mr.Phillips!! Your shot sequence is crucial! Traditional Archery 🏹 simply can not work if you don’t develop a correct shot sequence!
You must be able to repeat your shot sequence without even thinking about it!

Is there a general arrow set up you can recommend for people starting? For example 28 draw 45 lbs

    • @instinctiveaddictionarcher8998
      @instinctiveaddictionarcher8998  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yes a 500 gold tip cut at about 29” with the 100 grain brass inserts and a 150 grain point is about perfect for that set up

It seems you may have a slight pause at anchor. If you do ? Do continue pulling through your anchor as you release .

Index finger in the corner of my mouth with my thumb nuckle under my ear lobe and sort of laying my head on my hand that’s just what works for me thanks so much!

Great instruction but with todays modern recurves and hybrid longbows ,high performance bowstrings and arrows , to have to go to 45 or 50 pounds to humanely shoot a deer or other small to medium game animal for a good archer can be overkill and lead one to be over bowed !! Sure shoot as much poundage as you can comfortably control but I’ve been shooting for over 35 years and and can count on one hand archers who were very accurate over the 45 pound range at 20 yards!! Yet have i known experienced archers with lighter poundage hybrid longbows who consistently bring deer/pigs and turkeys to the table because they are able to control their shot and kit !! Don’t ever get sucked into this heavy poundage macho thing !!
