I am an old Black woman who experienced extreme abuse, by my mother, because she preferred my lighter skinned sisters. Just because you have children of a darker hue doesn’t mean that you don’t engage in colorism. Colorism is still pervasive throughout the Black community. Just look at who successful Black men, from movie stars, rappers, musicians, politicians, athletes and the rest, where 99% of them choose light skinned sistahs
and White women. Anderson Cooper performed the,”Black doll test”, shortly after Obama’s election. Most of the Black children chose the White doll as the smartest and the prettiest. Self hatred is still pervasive in our community because we have yet to heal from more than 400 years of ongoing trauma.

Giselle sating she’s not colorist and that person who tweeted about her having gone to an HBCU, was in a Black sorority, married a Black man and have brown children as reasons for her not being colorist is the most stupidest argument I’ve ever heard.
If Giselle is a not a colorist then she should’ve not allowed the show and producers to portray her as that. Just like how Black people can tell when a white person is racist we can also tell when a light skinned person is colorist. It’s just sixth sense we have.

My sentiments,Giselle is very much so a colorists,her having kids with a darker hue man is just to show that I can have what I want because I'm the black man's preference,she also has issues with every darker skin hue women and it's never valid especially holding the lighter women to the same standards etc.

I'm biracial, my brother is biracial, I married a gorgeous black man, and we made an amazingly beautiful daughter. I'm super light and our daughter is way darker than me. I literally had to carry her birth certificate, ID's, and family pictures for doctors and schools when she was school aged because they didn't believe I was her mother! Now that she's grown people assu.e we're friends or a lesbian come. It's so freaking weird!
It's crazy because my brother is even darker than my daughter but I came out lighter than him. I always loved that we are a whole kaleidoscope of shades. I'm so tired of colorism. Black folks come from albino white to dark chocolate and it's gorgeous. Let's love on eachother people!

We all use our power in some form or another many times throughout our lives because it works. Story is not old. Sherly husband is being charged with Bigamy and Rico . He is already married to his first wife of 40 years. Plus child P found on his computer. Case may be televised. Steve Harvey is on the states witness list.
