I've been around these motors for years, for what ever reason, mining equipment manufacturers love them. The one tunnel job I was on had schoma locomotives all powered by these motors and those things hauled ass for being 25 tons.
A 4 cylinder non-turbo (F4L912 or F4L913) would be my choice. At around 75 HP, it wouldn't be fast, but it'd be decent. I have a 3 cylinder F3L912 in my '84 Ford Ranger.
Man I'm looking at the 6 cylinder ones for a 70 charger project will need to heavily beef up suspension and frame but can 3 120 mm turbos be hooked up safely lol just want to do it to piss off Dodge people 😂

Great engines, with a beautiful voice.
Deutz air cooled, cool. What would be a good sized Deutz for a Jeep wrangler 2 door?

jason crigger In my Ranger, I used a Fiat 5-speed out of a 1981 Iveco Z100 box truck. You can always make a custom adapter though.
@@adampavick7007 would a turbo charged one give a bit more Horsepower and speed? something that can handle the freeway in a pinch?

@@rammbostein I don't see why not.
you think one of these would fit an FJ cruiser with a bit of cutting and frame strengthening?
