Versatility, high cruising speed, stamina, turn of foot, swagger & aura. This horse has and is something special. Heard about him after his maiden win and watched him through the season. I shouted him home yesterday like I'd bet my house on him....I didn't bet, just wanted him to prove he was as exciting as we all hoped....and he is!

Not really, palace has a slight negative trait of hanging to his right which he also did again in this race, he also idles often.
@@gored6248 The horse gave 100% in the race, that's all a horse can ever give. Four group 1 races is not bad for a horse with those "traits".

Crowley is an awful jockey, works for an amazing operation so rides great horses. I would expect any half decent jockey to match his wins with the same opportunities he gets

Really looking forward to seeing this horse next year, hopefully they won`t waste too much time in stepping him up to 10f. He`s top top class over a mile but I reckon he could be an absolute superstar over 10f.

I have a feeling Simon Holt backed Baaeed. He was almost singing Baaeed's name as he crossed the finishing line.
Shame SMB was retired, would have been some match up.
Baaeed is a seriously good racehorse, has exceptional speed figures that only Frankel achieved. (Not saying he is an equivalent, he isn't)

Frankel was putting in TS figures of 120's and 130's. Baaeed hasn't even done 100 TS yet. This race was slower than the next race of Sealiway. Palace Pier needed a stronger pace but he might of been off the boil anyway, that is racing.
@@frankspencer6935 How do you find out if a horse is G1 ability in terms of speed if the race is slow?
Baaeed has ran 3 particular slow ran races yet he is the quickest miler, this was shown even before the QEII going in.
Do you think we rely on TopSpeed ratings to find this out?

Off the boil my a**e! he woulda been better on good ground but so would Need. No, Frankie lost him any chance by panicking from 4 furlongs out rather than settling his horse. Baeeed still the better horse though.... because he'll be 3-5 lengths better next year, so that puts him way ahead of Palace Pier, P.s. I was a fan of Palace Pier...lovely looking horse but Baeed is just better.
Hi, my name is Ryan Moore. I ride horses and I'll share my strategy with you. Immediately take your horse to the back and get blocked in behind as many horses as possible to inhibit your horse's ability to move forward. Allow all other runners get ahead of you with a clear path if possible. Let them make the first move and with your horse a good 10 lengths out, then make your move weaving in and out around the other horses to make your horse run as far as possible. My ride of Mother Earth was a quintessential demonstration of this tactic. If you only watch Mother Earth, you'll see how much futher she had to run than the lead horses yet still closed quickly covering the last furlong as fast as Baaeed yet can only claim 5th place but would have fininshed 3rd or 4th otherwise. After the race, I just mumble something unintelligible to AOB and he'll say he's delighted.

Agreed poor ride from Moore.Horse finished full of running yet didn’t get into it he race.
Mother Earth has been running like a Trojan all year.

I'm not really a fan of the Maktoums but this horse, in my opinion, is one of the best I've ever seen. Really classy and I agree with earlier comments about stepping him up to 10f, reckon that's when we will see even more ,although for me a mile and a half would be stretching it a bit
Frankie is too preoccupied with trying to be “clever” and emulating Lester with his looks behind whereas the other jockeys are just focussing on getting their horses running and getting momentum.
It looks good when the jockey wins the race, but when beaten he looks a little dumb!.
Gosden said the same thing after the race.Spent too much time looking round for Baaeed.
He wasn’t a happy man.

Well the first and second were actually sitting 2nd and equal 3rd after 400m
They then settled back to 3rd and equal 4th.
That’s hardly swooping late from the back of the pack is it?
If this race was won by late swoopers Lady Bowthorpe and Mother Earth would have run first and second.
The first two sat in touch with the main threat The Revenant all the way.
Benbatl was 30-1 so he wasn’t a factor to worry about.

In the context of the size of the field it is exactly the position the Caulfield Guinea winner came from. Outside midfield.

At various stages of the race they were 2nd to 5th in a ten horse field.
I think you should have saved this attempt at a dig for a different race.

At the 450 in the race I commented on the winner was still last.

Massive fans of both horses....I repeat massive.....but Frankel over 1m or 7f is just too fast, think Baeed would get within a few lengths if run over 1m 2f but that's without seeing him at 4yo yet

Frankie Dettori, an example of how not to win a horse race yet again.....he looks great with his extravagant style when he's on a horse far superior to the rest....bit like Damon Hill when he won the F1. Here in the QE instead of helping a horse to settle he just transfers all his nervous energy to his horse, compare that to the best jockeys who settle their horses with 'soft hands' etc... Baeeed looks good, just hope he has some competition next year, he'll be too fast for Adayar...it will need a decent 3yr old to come out the pack...but are there any decent 2yr old this year to become good enough at 3 to give Baeeed a race? I don't think so.
was on Palace Pier so slight pocket talk from me possibly but one of the worst rides ive ever seen. Not saying Baeed wasnt the best horse on the day but Frankie did absolutely everything wrong just about

Another poor ride by Moore, I do not know how long O Brien stable will put up with these sub standard rides . No horse made up as much ground as mother earth but you cannot give group 1 horses 5-6 lengths and expect make up that amount of ground in the final furlong.
Mother Earth was nowhere near good enough.

This race was a guaranteed 1-2 with the top 2 in the market. Both levels above
It was a ride to give the horse the best chance of finishing in the places. He knew she wasn't good enough to win.

Horrible ride from dettori, not like him at all. How he let jim stalk him through is mind blowing for a jockey of his calibre, baaeed was also getting weight. Frankie got the fractions all wrong too, he went at least 3 furlongs out which is utter stupidity. In horse racing positioning wins races. I think the stall game is horrendous in racing lately. Last year the stalls was centre which made palace pier well drawn and baaeed badly drawn, this year they decide to put the stalls on the far side. Good race and both great horses, if they raced 10x you would probably have a verdict of 5-5!

Fields of 4 or 5 runners trainers probably keeping horses until Cheltenham ffs , Cheltenham is ruining the entire season because it’s four days of racing if Cheltenham was 3 days with 6 races a day Thursday to Saturday and end of April have National hunt champions day at Cheltenham you still make money Cheltenham don’t worry
