  • Hi, I'm Mister Morris and I started learning game development with Unity 8 months ago. I had no prior knowledge of how to code but during this time I have built 8 games. Even though I still have much to learn I do consider myself a game developer already 😄
If you've been thinking of taking up game development then I hope this video motivates you to get started!

I'm in the same boat as you mostly, I just graduated high school and I feel like I have a very good idea for a solid metroidvania, and I'm going to learn pixel art and animation first since that's probably a lot easier, but this inspired me to go for it and work towards it so thanks for that, and I plan on buying and playing Haiku once it comes on switch or I get a laptop (which ever comes first) cuz I think I'll enjoy it as well as want to study it's structure and learn how I should structure my own metroidvania.

I hate myself now. I've been trying to make a game but I've never finished it. I just scrap it then make a new game then scrap it again and now I've been procrastinating ever since. Thanks for this video you gave back again my motivation.

As a gamer, I am really looking forward to Haiku, the robot. The way it looks reminds me a lot of memories from Hollow Knight, I hope this game can relive my memories of those days. Haha...
For you, Morris, this video is well done and very inspiring, I also want to become a game developer too, but I am always afraid to coding because many people tell me that it is complicated and hard to understand and some said that it's a fun journey if you learn it the right way, what do you think from your journey???

9:05 Changing the color of the character or the name doesn't protect you against copyright. Your only defense would be parody but you'd have to spend 6 figures on a lawyer to defend that case and most likely lose.
The only reason it hasn't been taken by copyright is they haven't noticed, or possible don't care.
Just saying, so other's don't get the idea that they can do something like this and be safe.
