So beautiful. Because of the shutdowns I found St. John Cantius. I’ve come to love this church , all the way from Newnan GA. Thank you Canons, Association, and all involved in sharing this with us .
Was the statue broken, in half, and also her hands. Looks like the fingers were broken and not recovered. So sad! Someone took a statue from my property and broke it into three pieces. I kept them on the porch hoping to find a way to repair them. But a burglar broke into my home and trashed every drawer in every room from first floor, second floor, and in the attic to the basement! I had to leave my house for safety. Sadly the three pieces were never recovered. My prayer is that wherever they ended up, that some good soul will repair the statue and place her where honor and reverence will be expressed. Even more wonderful, if someone could plan a procession like this one! Blessings to all the wonderful people in Chicago who honored Our Blessed Mother in this procession! Jesus gave Mary to all mankind with these words when dying on His Cross: “Behold Your Mother!”

I wish our priests were as commited as these fine men. Never thought l would see so many faithful and a procession too. Only hear about crime and death in chicago this was shocking.Surprised lightfoot allowed it. God bless you all , looks like theres still hope for chicago

I will take my chances with the constant witness of the Orthodox and Catholic churches throughout the centuries. What else could Jesus have meant when He entrusted the Church to His Mother and His Mother to the Church.
